I am going to join all other reviewers in agreement on how wonderful and interesting WAAAM is. This place is definitely worth the stop! One thing I wish I have done and recommend to future visitors - check museum's schedule and plan to visit when they have a show. It would be something to actually see these plains in the... More

This great museum covers 2 1/2 acres, all enclosed in 3 large hanger type buildings. There is literally something for everyone. An extensive antique aircraft collection, lots of old cars, an antique gun collection, and cases of collectibles that came from the offices of the now closed Luhr Jensen factory in Hood River. Every piece is well described and documented... More

This museum is incredible! Walking into these hangers you see the unexpected beauty of history on wheels. Every item is shined, polished and in working order. There are a lot of items from the 1930's. At a few of the exhibits, there is a video running that is worth the time to sit and view. I learned all about the... More

While visiting Hood River I found this museum and my wife's distant cousin husband took me to see this wonder. It is large you really need two hours just to see it all without delaying to much. It is over a 100 cars & 100 aircraft mostly pre 1950 all the way back to 1909 to include steam driven cars.... More

Thank you for reviewing. We love keeping old history alive and many people appreciate that. It is this appreciation that has enabled WAAAM to grow to what it has become today. You are also spot on with the time recommendation - it really does take two (or more) hours to get through the museum ... longer still if you join... More

This museum is an eclectic collection of antique flyable airplanes, think Stearman, Piper, Curtis and many more. Add to this are autos from steam and antique electric to muscle cars and much in between, Fords, Chevy, Studebaker, Packard, Dodge, GTO, etc. Early model motorcycles, Indians, Harleys, and many others are mixed in. If you have flown, driven or rode in... More

Thank you for reviewing. WAAAM is always proud to host the Annual Hood River Fly-In. In addition to seeing the museum, having the visiting "collection" of people showing off their aircraft always makes for an action-packed weekend (always the weekend after Labor Day). Many visitors also enjoy being able to see the blend of our antique airplanes and automobiles all... More

Three buildings of flyable antique airplanes and drivable antique and classic autos plus displays of antique memorabilia and a few antique motorcycles. Kid friendly "hands on" area.

Thank you for reviewing. You really hit all of our major highlights. Don't forget we don't just say we fly and drive the collection - you can see us doing it on every Second Saturday of the month and a few other special occasion times. Thank you for reviewing. We love it when events can happen at WAAAM because it draws a different crowd that might not have thought about coming to an airplane and automobile museum - but as we like to say, "there's something for everyone to enjoy" so events always turn out to be a lot of fun. More

Thank you for the review.
