This place is a must-see if you are in the area. The size is deceiving from the outside. There are hundreds of automobiles from every era along with incredible planes and other old stuff. We were greeted by Don, a volunteer with a big smile and a wealth of information. For awhile, we had our own tour guide as he... More

The displays are well done with interesting information that is accurate and researched. The volunteers are entertaining to talk to as they motor around the facility. They devoted to the museum and maintaining it's reputation and seeking suggestions and additional volunteers. There are many planes, cars, trucks and other memorabilia, the restoration work is top notch in all areas. There... More

Thank you for the review. People are always amazed that a museum of this scope and size is where it is (even if we are only 3 miles out from the freeway). Fortunately our location gives us plenty of room to grow, drive our automobiles, and fly our airplanes too. More

Great place to visit for the young and old. One of the better car museums out there. The setup is nice and things found in every nook and cranny. Great place to take photos. You do get a discount if you're a AAA member.

So many antique and vintage aviation things to see you we spent 3 hours there. There is a lot of history and stories to see and read about. The volunteers there are very friendly and happy to answer any questions.

Thank you for reviewing. The more you dig into all of the history and stories surrounding the airplanes and automobiles at the museum the longer and longer your visit tends to get. Our volunteers are great at pointing out the highlights and guiding visitors to things they are most interested in seeing. More

I think that the planes and cars from the 30's are works of art. It was pleasing to see cars and planes from the same era displayed together. And that approach kept the experience from becoming boring or overwhelming. Just when you think you need to sit down, there would be a video station where you could watch commentary and... More

Thanks for the review. Here at the museum we know that our over 2.5 acres of display space can tire folks out so we make sure to have strategic seating and videos all over to help enrich the experience without becoming too overwhelming. More

There is nothing to disliked about WAAAM. There were both Aeroplanes and Automobiles there that I have never seen or heard of before. There were some cars there that I have just seen on TV. Must see.

Thank you for the review. Many of WAAAM's airplanes are the only ones left of their kind or the only ones left flying. Some of the cars too are from long-forgotten companies that can help keep the ever changing nature of history in perspective. More

There are many opportunities to see antique vintage automobiles, but you don't often find a collection of antique planes. This is a very expansive museum. All the items are well displayed and there are many informative videos playing throughout the museum, with seating at each screen. A bit off the beaten path, but well worth the visit!!

Thank you for the review. We often have to remind people that our museum is located next to Ken Jernstedt Airfield so we are about 3 miles away from exit 62 on I-84. WAAAM is glad to be where we are because that means we have the ability to fly our historic collection of airplanes and have the space to... More

Enjoyed the history of auto and air travel starting in the 1910s to the present. Had a great experience touring the 3 building hangars of all the cars and planes. There were some cars we never even heard of before. Well worth the visit and was a good price.

Thank you for reviewing. One of the neat things about transportation history is that WAAAM's airplanes and automobiles can act as cultural and historical touchstones for people to help us understand how we got to where we are today. Keeping this history alive by flying and driving our collection has always been important to the museum. More

Many planes, cars, videos, memorabilia and more. Friendly volunteer staff too. Never saw so many bi-planes!

Thanks for the review. The WAAAM Collection focuses on the golden age of transportation and aviation - that means a lot of bi-planes and other fun things from the teens, 20s, and 30s. More

This museum is amazingly interesting. It is filled with old and antique airplanes, cars, and miscellaney. It is the sort of thing you really cant properly see in one visit. It's the sort of place you will want to return to again and again.

Stephanie H, Manager at Western Antique Aeroplane & Automobile Museum, responded to this review

Thank you for reviewing. Many visitors are surprised by the size of our collection. They expect to see a few airplanes and automobiles but when you consider our 300+ large item collection plus an enormous amount of supporting transportation small artifacts it can be difficult to see the museum in just one visit alone.
