Fred was the perfect tour guide. Very knowledgable about the area, the wines and the wineries. Very open to answering questions - no matter how dumb! We felt like we got VIP treatment at a number of the wineries. Lot's of personalization based on tastes - and we were surprised that he had googled us before we arrived for the... More

I'm glad you were able to meet and talk with some owners and feel the passion that lives in Oregon's wine community. And...with that rainbow crowning the day after chatting with the states most "famous grape grower"...Touché indeed~ (you two were so fun..Thanks for coming to Oregon!) More

My husband and I visited Willamette Valley for a day/night on our honeymoon trip in October. I had researched Fred for several months and was very excited to experience our winery tour day. It was wonderful! We were picked up at our B&B in McMinnville and had a private transfer to all of our wineries. We visited 4 wineries. He... More

I took my second wine tour with Marie, this time bringing my daughter, daughter-in-law and her mother along, and it was just as nice as the first one! She is so informative, very accommodating, and brings great snacks along to pair with the wines. She made recommendations for dinner, and even made our reservations for two nights. I would definitely... More

We already knew that we loved Oregon Pinots, but we had yet to learn how much we were going to fall in love with Miss Marie! Arranged in advance to celebrate my birthday, my husband and Marie planned a wonderful day of wine tasting for me and 5 family members! She was a highlight of our visit, with fun banter,... More

My husband, cousins and I enjoyed a beautiful tour of Oregon wine country with Fred on 10/7/13. He picked us up at our hotel in a comfortable Honda Odyssey and as we traveled to the Willamette Valley, Fred shared so much interesting information about the area and its beloved pinot noir. We let Fred take us where he wanted and... More

We had a terrific day with Marie visiting wineries, tasting wine, learning about the industry in Oregon, and getting a sense of the wine community. In advance of our trip we provided Marie with names of some of the wineries we were interested in, and she put together a trip that included some of those as well as others she... More

Marie and my daughter, Joanna had planned a wonderful day for us. The van was waiting for us at our B&B and off we went on a day full of fun and wine adventures. Marie was wonderful and adapted her tour to fit our tastes. Her cheese plates were yummy and kept us on the straight and narrow. She was... More

Where to Begin. It was important to my friend Rachel and I to have a private tour versus being on a bus of 12+ people. For the minimal additional cost of $25.00 ($175 pp) we had Marie and the van to ourselves. We may have proven to be all she could handle anyways! Prior to our trip we had alerted... More

Fred takes a very complex subject and makes it easy to learn and understand. The wineries were unique which was we were looking for and his level of expertise just added to the experience. Next time we go back to Oregon we would without reservation invest in another day with Fred!

Marie from A Nose For Wine was such a great guide. She understood that my friend & I didn't know much about wines but wanted a day away from the city and into the valley. I requested to go to a couple of wineries that had been recommended to me. Marie picked us up at our hotel at 10:30 and... More
