I really wish I could give A Nose for Wine Tours a higher rating than 5 because this was an incredible way to experience Willamette Valley! Marie was so knowledgeable and was really a pleasure to spend the day with. When deciding to go wine tasting in Willamette Valley as part of a trip to the Pacific Northwest, my husband... More

My boyfriend and I booked a day of wine tasting with Fred and I can honestly say it was the highlight of our trip to Portland. Fred is both knowledgable/educational and laid-back/entertaining - an awesome combination. We found ourselves alternatively laughing about his stories from his days working in Reno and marveling at his ability to convey surprising, practical information... More

It was my turn to host three long-time east coast business associates/friends for our annual weekend together (many years running). Past forays in locations around the U.S. had set a high mark and I wanted a private, unique, "off the beaten path", professionally executed winery tour in the Willamette Valley that would cause "shock and awe" for my guests! Fortunately,... More

Excellent behind the scenes look into the wine industry. Just tell Marie or Fred the type of wine and tour experience you would like and they take care of the rest. From one on one experiences with winemakers and barrel tasting, to appointment only stops and brilliant locations for a lunch, Marie set it all up, with a thorough understanding... More

We are totally & thoroughly pleased to recommend "A Nose for Wine" to anyone that wants to learn more about wine in the Willamette Valley. They were very thorough in our first conversations which helped them to tailor 2 perfect days to our specific tastes. We visited some incredible wineries and met winemakers and other professional staff. It was totally... More

My husband and I had a wonderful day exploring Oregon wine country with Marie! She had great picks for our day, wonderful wines, great people, and reasonably priced. We ended up with a case to take home from assorted vineyards, and can't wait to re-live our fun visit with each bottle! Marie as definitely a wine expert, but even more... More

We booked a two day tour of the Willamette Valley vineyards and wineries. Fred was our guide one day and Marie the next. They were very knowledgable about wine and the area, as well as being lots of fun! Marie prepared wonderful little snack trays to compliment some of our tastings! They also did a great job of choosing wineries... More

We had a great tour with Fred. Very entertaining and educational, and well, yeah, the wine was outstanding. A great tour for anyone from a novice to an experienced wine-snob, as long as you are really interested in the wines and not just looking for an extended happy hour.

I visited some wineries with Marie as our guide in mid-September. So glad I went with them. The wineries are spread out and had I driven myself, I'd be spending more time getting lost than tasting wine. We visited a range of wineries from the very small like Prive where the winemaker got us barrel tastings to the overly commercialized... More

Our first time to Willamette Valley Pinot Noir country and Fred was absolutely amazing! We were educated on many levels about our favorite pinots!
