We went to the cultural center to get information about hikes to take and things to do. They were very helpful and gave us great ideas on what to do for the two days there. It was well worth our time.

If you'd like a physical feel of the historic Government Camp, a visit to this museum is a must. It is upstairs from the visitors center, which has a helpful staff and brochures and maps for lodging and activities in the Mt. Hood area.

It has a wide degree of displays to see ranging from the Barlow Trail history to the Timberline Lodge and other local attractions. The telling of the history of 'The Mountain' explains itself well. The bookstore allows you to take more detailed history home for future reading. Easy... More
