Nothing to dislike about this trip. We really enjoyed the beautiful scenery. We had fun just visiting with the passengers on the trip and got lots of pictures.

Took my three young grandchildren (8, 5 and 4) for a trip on the Steam Train that runs between Garibaldi and Rockaway Beach. We sat in one of the covered yet open sided cars on a rainy day - did not seem to dampen the kids enthusiasm! Brought a smile to my face, and was not to hard on my... More

This excursion provided the perfect break from driving down the Oregon Coast, allowing time to just sit back and relax while somebody else did the driving. The steam train winds slowly along near the road, but there is so much more to see than you can from a car because it literally hugs the coastline, and the higher elevation of... More

It was a fun experience and good for family or friends. I love the train and the option to sit in the enclosed sitting area or be out in the open (weather permitting).

What a fun ride on this little railroad! There are three cars to pick from: open air, covered open air, and enclosed. Don't forget your camera....enjoy! Jerry T., Idaho

Steam-powered historic railway that travels a beautiful portion of the coast between Garibaldi and Rockaway Beach. The train travels at a leisurely pace so that you can ride in the open car without freezing, or in one of the enclosed cars with the option of opening your window or not. The volunteers were very knowledgeable and did their best to... More

We came all the way up the Oregon Coast for the Sunset dinner train. It met our expectations and then some. The food, service and scenery were wonderful. Be sure and make reservations.

This was a wonderful experience on a beautiful September Saturday! We were able to sit in the car with no roof and stand to see everything. The stop at the beach was just long enough to walk to the water and take pictures. The conductors were very friendly and asked and answered questions. I recommend this trip! Our friend from... More

We took three young boys (ages 1-3) who love choo-choos on this ride. There was a completely open car behind the engine, then a roofed car with open sides, then a closed Pullman car. The train goes pretty slowly, but it's not that far from Garibaldi to Rockaway Beach. The views were nice. People slow down on the road or... More
