This is a follow up review. Was one of our favorite courses for 4+ years. Went downhill slowly. Under new ownership now. THEY HAVE PLANTED GRASS!!!! The fairways were totally coming back! No moving your ball around to find grass anymore. The greens were perfect. Maintenance was superb! This is a total gem people! Many holes are in the trees... More

We have loved this course over many years and each visit to Oregon we travel to Florence to play Sandpines. This year was a crushing disappointment. The course was in awful condition - particularly bald/scarred patches on the fairways, strange grasses on the greens making them bobbly and inconsistent. This course felt neglected. Making matters works, 4 painfully slow hackers... More

We had an enjoyable round of golf at Sandpines. The course was in great shape and is very playable. The course meanders through the dunes and wooded areas in Florence, Oregon and I am ready to play the course again the next time I'm visiting Florence. The proshop is also very nice, as well as the practice facility. If you're... More

I recently spend a week in the Florence/Yachats area and had a chance to play the course several times. If you play in the afternoon, be prepared for 20+ mph wind and the real test of links golf. While we were there, the wind was extra stiff due to the hotter temperatures in the valley. My wife played in the... More

My husband and I played here once before and we really enjoyed ourselves so we returned in July 2014. Unfortunately it was a very windy day but we still had fun. I would be happy to play here again.

This is the second time that I've played this course but the first time I've played in the afternoon. The afternoon wind was so bad that we nearly walked off on #10. I would recommend only playing here in the mornings.

We played Sandpines last week-end on a quick trip from Eugene, OR. We were blessed with a sunny, beautiful day. The course is a links design, and we enjoyed the round. We started at 12:30, and the front nine was fairly calm, and 2 hours later when we reached the back nine, the wind really kicked up! Obviously, book a... More

We went to Tavalo's at Sandpines for lunch with our granddaughter who was visiting. The lunch, food, and service were great.

I don't play golf, but when I am in Florence on a Thursday night, I always go to dinner at their lodge and they have Karaoke. The food is outstanding and the singers are awesome. Nancy the owner is a great singer and performer. So much fun for sure!.

Great track and very friendly staff. You can not beat the golf anywhere on the coast including Bandon Dunes. Everyone was helpful and courteous. The carts were great and the course was in fantastic shape. You can play there any time of year as the sand dunes it is built on drains immediately. The only time it is not fun... More
