Located just south of Florence, Oregon on Highway 101, this attraction could keep you and/or the children occupied in fun and thrills for hours. In regards to dune rides, you have two choices of excitement levels. In the first place, you can join one of the Giant Dune Buggy Tours. This is a relatively gentle manner to explore nearly eight... I would definitely request a reservation unless you want a long wait. Once you do so, there is little reason to arrive early. The place builds in 20 extra minutes for you get checked in (i.e. pay) and arrive at the loading area. (I did not realize we would have to get right back in our car and backtrack a... More

This was amazing would recommend the sand rail tour for 1hr. As a person who grew up with motorcycles and someone who grew up with the st. Anthony Idaho sand dunes I was worried that it would not be as fun as if I were driving however that was not the case. This was on the edge of the dunes... More

We chose the hour long adventurous one where we went up and down the dunes at great speed and saw stunning views of the dunes and ocean. Wear a coat or hoodie to pull tight over your head to protect your head, face, and hair from from wind and sand. Our guide was friendly and knowledable, so we learned about... More

Took my family for a trip to the dunes and ended up wasting most of the day driving. We had chris for a driver and he was a decent driver but when we wanted to try driving ourselves he said the closest rental outfit was 35 miles south so we drove past sand dunes frontier which was only 3 miles... Awesome ride! I'm glad we went for an hour instead of the half hour ride. Our guide Woody was awesome and very knowledgeable. Make sure to bring a small camera or a disposable camera as they stop for pictures along the way.

We didn't know this was on our bucket list until the experience was over. We did the half-hour Sand Rail tour and it was the highlight of our road trip from Seattle to San Francisco. If you tend to get motion sickness this may not be the trip for you, however our 5 and 6 years olds had a blast!... More

A road trip down the Oregon coast is not complete without a thrill ride on the beautiful dunes with Sandland. I took my 6 yr old grandson for his first time & he thought it was incredibly fun! Treasured memories that I hope he will always remember!
