Great family hike! Steep, but not very long. The view is unbelievable and you will see Lane County and Eugene like you would not have thought possible. Great open rocks on top to sit and enjoy the view.

But don't go there. Because once people start to discover this little oasis with the fantastic views that's smack in the middle of town, it might start to get crowded. And I wouldn't want that. I'm a runner who enjoys the solitude of this perfect hill workout from the base of Skinner Butte Loop to the top and back just... More

A little bit of a tough walk if you take the straight and not all-around way, but some views!! The forest walk was entertaining with little floral surprises on the way. We stayed up there for half hour or so to enjoy and look around. Pleasing and surprising

Make sure you lock.your car..and keep things lock up in trunk. They have had a lot of cars broken into. Please stay on trails. Itis tick season. They are working on the trials so it will be handicap approved. Enjoy

Travel to the top off the Butte and you'll love it! Nice view of most of Eugene, you'll see east to west and be pointed towards the south. The park portion is terrific, especially for kids. It's a wonderful place located on the south side of the Willamette River. There is a bike path that runs through the park which... More

This park is well situated along the Willamette River just west of downtown Eugene. There is a wide bike/pedestrian path that connects to the main path that goes for miles on either side of the river. There is convenient parking here as well as a fantastic playground for kids. The restrooms are OK but not always the cleanest. There are... More

This park is for families who like to educate their kids about the beginning of Eugene as well as having fun. The water part is so fun, it is hard to get the kids to leave. The trail runs between the park and the river. We always go here when we visit Eugene. Your kids will love it.

Best play area near the downtown shopping, hotels and restaurants. Short walk from most anywhere near the University. Hiking, river trail and children's playground all within the park area. Water feature for children to cool off during those hot summer days.

The hike to the top of Skinner's Butte is a must for anyone visiting the area. It is the Northwest at its finest. Drive south on Willamette Street until you think you've gone too far, and look for the Skinner's Butte park / parking lot on the left. The parking area has signs to help you from there. It is...
