It was gorgeous all the way to the top. The trail is narrow but great for seeing all the nature Oregon has to offer. Beautiful trees everywhere and getting to the top is a huge feat you will feel proud for completing. It's a great view and definitely worth it.

Skinner Butte Park is a central park in the green rainy city of Eugene Oregon! Very green...and very rainy! Go in the Summer!

Such a great view point at Skinner's Butte. I am blown away at how many trees we have in Oregon. Great view. Everyone sis check this out at least once.

This was a great walk from the Eugene Hilton. The views are nice. The park is not well maintained but nice enough. If you like to walk and fitness is your thing, then this is a great thing to do!

Skinner Butte is a nice city park with great views of the city of Eugene. The best views are from the parking lot area. There is a trail to some more views, but trees hide most of them. Main views at the top are downtown and off in the other direction is the Duck's football stadium. Short path to the... More

I took my four year old and we loved it, but even the easier trail-the one with stairs near the summit- is not an easy hike. It got really steep at the end so if you're not in decent shape or you have a little one with you beware :) the trail itself was through beautiful forest, and the view... More

Great family hike! Steep, but not very long. The view is unbelievable and you will see Lane County and Eugene like you would not have thought possible. Great open rocks on top to sit and enjoy the view.

But don't go there. Because once people start to discover this little oasis with the fantastic views that's smack in the middle of town, it might start to get crowded. And I wouldn't want that. I'm a runner who enjoys the solitude of this perfect hill workout from the base of Skinner Butte Loop to the top and back just... More
