This is a great place to visit, right along the Willamette River, not too far from downtown Eugene. It offers lots of paths, great for bike riding or walking, and you can't beat the view. There are also bridges that cross the river or go down close to the University of Oregon. Many miles of fun!

I live just a few blocks from this park, and I frequent it often. It is awesome. It is part of a big park system that rings most of the Willamette River front in Eugene. There's a bike path along the river, there's an awsome playground including sand and water play for the kids, there's an awesome mini-butte for walking/hiking/viewing... More

I've taken the kiddos to this park a few times, and they adore it, especially my 2-year-old. The water play areas are nice, and easily accessible to even young ones. The 3-story play tower is great, with all the different slides and activities. We want to go back at least once a week before the rainy season hits!

A pair of eagles have nested in the trees for five years now. Today we hiked up and saw the chick and one parent. It was amazing. If you go, bring binoculars.

This is just a great family park for any walks of life. Big play grounds. Right on the river. Many views. We stayed there for hours!

This park has an excellent play area for kids. One of the best in Eugene. However, sadly, there are a lot of homeless and transients that hang around down there, making it feel unsafe to be there. Just make sure you stay VERY close to your children!

Skinner's Butte Park (SBP) is probably Eugene's oldest and best parks for family outings. I remember going there a number of times as a child -- more than 50 years ago. Over the years, the park has expanded along the bank of the Willamette River and is probably five times the size it was when I was a kid. Additionally,... More
