Loved the atmosphere and the small theater was great. We were able to walk there from our hotel about 4 blocks away and was not bothered around 10 when we walked back. The popcorn was meh, but I didn't care.

In a time of streaming and home video its a refreshing change to see a movie as its supposed to be enjoyed. Nice venue with an adobe architectural flavor. On-line booking worked perfectly and get in early for the best parking. You can pass the extra time with a glass of wine/beer. Interesting level floor seating with steeply raked backs,... More

It was freezing with 10 inches of snow on the ground and this little haven of art films warmed our soul for an afternoon. Don't miss this little downtown gem.

It's situated on a corner in a residential neighborhood and it's easy to miss if you're looking for the name displayed somewhere. There isn't one. We asked some people sitting on their porch. It was the old church across the street. We thought...what...for just $5 is it a DVD showing on a pull-down screen? But no. Inside was a small... More

A great place to see independent films with others who appreciate them. The theaters are small and comfortable. The refreshments are a cut above the multiplex and more reasonable. I love seeing films here because the customers know how to behave in a move theater and the staff is welcoming.

Classic Eugene movie theatre that does a great job of selecting indie and award winning films. Love being able to grab a beer or glass of wine and enjoy the homey, eclectic atmosphere! The new downtown theater attached to the Taphouse is really fun too, grab dinner or one of MANY excellent brews in the adjoining pub and then finish... More

They show alternative, foreign, wu dance type films. Small cozy theaters with comfy seating. Beer, wine, tea for sale. Very friendly accommodating folks.

Every town needs at least one local theater that isn't part of a chain. The Bijou fits the bill. Their new downtown theaters are really fun too - small and comfy. Check out the Bijou!

The place is cosy the screen just the right size and the seats are very comfortable. The first movie we saw was called The Angels Share and was one of the best films we have ever seen. Great find!!!!!!

If you like to go to a small, cozy and slightly exotic movie theatre near downtown and campus, maybe to see an off-Hollywood movie, the Bijou is the right place for you :)
