We parked on the back side of Valley River Center, thinking that even though the winter day was cold, damp and foggy, we might enjoy a walk along the river. Well, yes and no. Even though the footpath is nice and it's pleasant being able to walk right alongside the river, the day was really too cold for us to... More

I rode my bike on this trail every day I was there. Just a few blocks from the Econo Lodge where I stayed.

Beautiful wide river with lots of crossings, and bike path to explore the river and the town of Eugene.

This is an industrial river here. Go to the nearby Mckenzie. It is cleaner and has better surroundings

Eugene has fabulous bike trails along the river with stops at the Owens Rose garden, restaurants, UO and more. You can rent bikes or bring your own. Pack a lunch and picinic at Skinner's Butte or Alton Baker. The river is peaceful and so beautiful at any time of the year.

One of the most beautiful and clean rivers you will ever see. Also a great place to spend the day if you like to fish.

Take a long walk, or jog, along this river. You will see serious joggers and mothers with babies and strollers, young students and older people. Watch the lazy river wind its way through the city. Take a walk, it's safe there and lots to see as you walk through city views and tress, quintessential Oregon experience!

We have done the river cruise a number of times. Some with family and some with visitors from out of the country (Germany, Twice in fact). You can have a half day or a full day trip. Both are wonderful.

The Willamette is a gorgeous river. It runs right through the town of Eugene, but I have also been farther up the river where the rafting and the fishing spots are amazing.

What's not to like about the Mighty Willamette!? Any time you can be near it you will feel more peaceful. I love Eugene's extensive network of paths along both banks. Herons, osprey, people floating by in driftboats and inner tubes, dogs splashing in for thrown sticks! But be careful - it is beautiful but yes MIGHTY. Do not trifle with... More
