There are several accessible part of the Willamette that are good for rafts and fishing. Can be swift and dangerous, as with any river. Beautiful scenic attraction from some local restaurants, but the Pizza Parlour on Franklin and the Norh Bank near the Ferry Street Bridge are my favorites. More

The waters are brownish because of the lumber / logging industries. Eugene is in the heart of the Willamette Vally which has this river running through the middle of it. There are a lot of parks and general riverside attractions. Don't swim in it. More

There isn't a bad view of the river. It is always changing. Watch for the osprey near Willamette Park. More

The river winds its way in, out and through Eugene, Oregon where I live. I can't imagine living without it. It's a great sports river from fishing to rafting. Very nice bike path winds along the edge of the river from Springfield to Eugene. More

We live near the river and go there many times in the summer to swim and enjoy the cooler air. You should bring bug spray as mosquitoes are prevalent. There aren't many place with sand mostly rocky shore line. So, make sure to bring a beach chair or two. The water is clear and clean. More

Clean beautiful sparkling water...a little too cold for my taste but they have no control over that. Sightings f beautiful grazing deer and trout swimming close enough to the surface to reacjh out and grab. If you need to relax and take in God's beauty take an afternoon and raft down a few miles More
