This is a great piece of Eugene, awesome hikes for people of all skill levels. It's a little hot in the middle of the day, the main train has a significant portion that has no shade so bring plenty of water and sunblock. The view from the top is totally worth it!

This is such a Zen-like place to get out of your car and walk through the woods. We followed a path to a really cool bridge and everyone loved the peaceful environment. There's an Arboretum which we didn't check out and a wedding party was assembled there. I highly recommend going for a hike in the woods here.

Great exercise. Many trails. It is very close to Eugene and good to visit all year long. Spring time flowers are best on south-east side. Good sunset view. Parking $4

My wife an I hike this mountain practically every day. It has become an important part of our lives. Our daily trip to the Mount Pisgah Arboretum and Buford Park gives us both a physical challenge to start the day and a chance to get in touch with the natural world around us. Rain or shine, there is never a... More

Love hiking upper and river trails. Beautiful views either way. The mushroom Fest is incredible here. Some of the most interesting fungus one can see,

Every time I visit the park there is some improvements. There was a children's fair going on and we walked through to take a hike with our dogs. The trail to the river was in great shape. My 82 year old mother had no problem negotiating to the river to watch the dogs swim. We returned and walked through the... More

I love to take contemplative walks with friends, and Mt. Pisgah is a great place for that. But when I am wanting a good vigorous Hike... this is my first choice in the Eugene-Springfield area. Trail #1.. the main trail to the summit is 2.8 miles roundtrip, and approximately a 1,050 foot elevation change (summit is 1,531 feet). This makes... More

Visit here! The paths are kept up well. There are hikes for all levels. Some of their paths are even wheel chair accessible. It is a true natural arboretum. A relaxing place to be - right near a river too!

My family and I recently went for a nice fall day hike, and we weren't disappointed! The wandering inner trails gave us some lovely views of local trees, and there were plenty of birds to see. Nice meandering creeks and brooks. Either print out a map with the trails labeled, or get the black-and-white one, though, because the pretty color... More

Give yourself at least two hours, preferably four. Take a picnic and plenty of water. Though many visitors just go straight up the mountain and then down, the other trails, meandering by the river and through the forest are my preference. Get a map, as you can take one of the shadier trails to the top and see the magnificent... More
