We've attended many fabulous events at this famous and delightful track and field venue. Advantages include huge crowds compared to any other site in the US because locals are so into these sports thanks to our outstanding history. Another advantage is low-humidity and decent temperatures nearly all summer. And another is lots of lodging and good places to eat, plus... More

It was cool to see this track in person. Big Fan of the PRE so it was on of the sites to hit in town. The Bowerman building was open so I just walked and out on to the track. Very cool. Worth seeking out if your are a runner.

We attended the US Track & Field Championships and were just enthralled and amazed. First, Eugene makes the meet run like clockwork, it brings the community out to cheer on the athletes and it couldn't be more family friendly. Then the athletes...WOW! Just incredible! Plus, your access to the athletes is fairly open. Don't miss this amazing event.

The home track of the USA's only Diamond Level annual meet - The Pre Classic, (named for Steve Prefontaine) birthdplace of Nike and home to the last 2 Olympic track & field Trials (and 3rd to come... Hayward Field is the place in the United States to watch track and field, particularly distance events. Nowhere else has the atmosphere or the passion for the sport. This is the home of the Prefontaine Classic and the birthplace of Nike. It is a must-see for any true running fan.

Okay, maybe I'm a little biased; I haven't been to a college field in a a few years. I went to UCLA and those facilities trained classmates like Flo-Jo and Jackie Joyner (for you Olympic junkies). And maybe even more biased because my daughter goes to school here and I know Nike.Knight made huge....inroads. But this place is like a... More

Best track facility and fans in the world. Hayward Field at the University of Oregon hosts some of the biggest track meets in the USA and world. When not in use by the University or world class track meets, Joggers can use the track to run on. Highly recommend.
