I like every part of it and there isn't a bad seat in the place. Very well taken care of and people that work there are mostly students that are very helpfull

Frequently hosts the Olympic Trials, and the yearly Prefontaine Classic are highly recommended. So much history in this place!

This is THE MUST SEE ATTRACTION if you go to Oregon and you are remotely interested in track and field. Even the All comers meets have a magical mystical feel to them and are run on fridays in august. The Steve Prefontaine accident site/memorial is located just a few blocks away on Hendricks Hill. On most quiet evenings the patter... More

This is the mecca of track and field, so if you have any interest at all in that sport, go see it. If you can manage to see it when an event is taking place, even better. You'll never be in a more exciting atmosphere for a track and field event (except, maybe, the Olympics). I watched the Olympic Trials... More

I was at Hayward Field for the 2012 US Olympic Trials for Track & Field. There are few things like watching the best in the world compete at a sport, watching world records being smashed, and doing it all with a great group of people. Not long before that, I brought my college-age goddaughter here to run on the track... More

A both classic and contemporary sports track and field! The location is great, as well as the openness and accessability. AS well as its history!

The Boston Marathon for track runners, Hayward Field boasts a history of records, runners and coaches unmatched anywhere in North America. All-comers meets are organized in the summer, giving wannabe track stars the opportunity to run the same track as many greats, thanks to the Oregon Track Club (at three dollars for up to three events, it's the best bang... Awesome. Even tho' I had grandchildren competing - this is a great free entertainment for track and field enthusiasts. It is great to see the dedication and whole-heartedness that these kids competed with.

Actually it is rather famous for its track and field. Numerous events are held here all the time. And on top of that, it is a rather nice looking area right there in the University of Oregon.

There are bigger track stadiums but none better. The quality of this track and field facility is second to none. The best athletes in the world compete at Hayward for a reason. They add more seats for big meets, such as the Olympic Trials. While you are there, walk around the University of Oregon campus!
