While visiting family we checked here on things to do in Eugene. Studio West Glassblowing was #1 on the list. I have always been very interested in glassblowing so we signed up for a class. My husband and I made an ornament together. I was nervous going in but Conrad made everyone feel very comfortable. He walked us through every... More

I bought my friend a workshop(blow your own piece) for her birthday and decided I would tag along too. I'm so glad I decided to tag along because it was an awesome experience! I was really impressed with Conrad, his artwork, his teaching abilities and how hands on he made the process. He made sure that everyone in our group... More

My family and I went to Studio West off a recommendation and could not have been more impressed. We met up with Conrad not once, or twice but three times. Not only was the studio and artist down to earth and friendly, his art was amazing. The artist himself was personable and accommodating, not to mention a cute son. We... More

We visited the Studio West Glassblowing Studio and Gallery with 3 adults and 2 children, ages 7 and 9. We weren't sure just what to expect, going on the recommendation of friends we were staying with. As it turned out, Conrad was an amazing teacher, condensing tons of knowledge about glass blowing into a succinct, entertaining presentation. Then, after explaining... More

This was my first glassblowing experience and Conrad, owner and instructor, made it a very enjoyable experience. Conrad is a natural teacher; that is, he is a natural at presenting information in a clear, systematic and explicit way that includes ample practice, clear prompts for seeking help, repeated examples, and very clear directions for where to stand, sit and participate.... We visited Studio West for the unique experience of making out own ornaments with Conrad and I must say it was one of the coolest things we have done...ever. Conrad is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and amazingly patient. Even with a slight language barrier, he never waivered and confidently communicates his artform. He explains everything you are going to experience before... More
