My teenage son and I had a very good experience with Dockside Charters. Over the phone and in person the staff was friendly, professional and very helpful. We were aboard the Starship for a 5 hour bottom fishing trip and Captain Dave Philips was great! He really worked hard to give us the best fishing experience possible. Thank you!

Went out bottom fishing two days in a row. First day, almost caught my limit, the second day on a bigger boat, I only caught three. No one was catching much. When I got back in, I ran into the first day's captain who said his boat pretty much limited out. Dockside Charters offers great service and are very friendly.... More

Did the fishing charter for long cod/ rock fish. We were on the Sampson boat. We took Dramamine and had the pressure point wrist bands to help with sea sickness (recommended). We were still queezy for the first hour, but didn't get sick. The fishing was OK. I will recommend to be on the back of the boat or side... More

My husband and I went out bottom fishing with Captain David on the "Starship". We cant say enough about Davids skill, knowledge, helpfullness and desire to make everyones trip out as successful as possible. Cudo's David! I would highly recommend doing something for seasickness ahead of time. Just say'in......ugh.

Captain was great. We were to fish for salmon but an hour into the troll, the captain asked if we wanted to catch bottom fish. He told us that in the morning trip, the fleet could not find the salmon. At a team the 6 of us voted for catchin'. Lings and Cabazon and all sorts of other bottom fish... More

Once in a lifetime experience! We saw four gray whales right next to the boat! For a whole hour they only charged $18 a person. What a bargain! We can't wait to do it again on our next trip to the coast!

Stay away from this company, seriously We are a family of 5. We have booked two trips with them – whale watching for the first day and deep sea fishing for the next day. I have booked both more than two months prior to our arrival. On the day of the whale watching trip at 7 am I am getting... More

I booked this excursion months in advance. Wherever I went in the Willamette Valley, this is the place Oregonians recommended. They were right, it was a well organized operation and the experience of the crew made the trip a great experience. The bigger boats are a big plus because the waves outside the harbor are pretty big!

We took the 1 hour tour and it was awesome! We took a tour with another company in the past and their boats were smaller and we got sick. Dockside boats are bigger and the whole experience was just better all around! Excellent customer service too.

We had Captain Bill, he went above and beyond. He was hands on the whole time helping, giving tips on fishing. Dockside cleaned fish for a small fee, and also we had them vacuumed sealed. Bottom fishing is what I suggest, can catch so many different kinds of fish! He is one that if you are not catching he moves... More
