We took the 1 hour tour and it was awesome! We took a tour with another company in the past and their boats were smaller and we got sick. Dockside boats are bigger and the whole experience was just better all around! Excellent customer service too.

We had Captain Bill, he went above and beyond. He was hands on the whole time helping, giving tips on fishing. Dockside cleaned fish for a small fee, and also we had them vacuumed sealed. Bottom fishing is what I suggest, can catch so many different kinds of fish! He is one that if you are not catching he moves... More

I have used Dockside for several years and always received great service . I went coho fishing with four friends this past Friday with captain David Pederson on the Smoking Reel for the first time and had one of my best trips yet. He was very pleasant, operates a great boat, and took us a little further than most and... More

The trip went well and we caught fish. The captain worked hard to find fish and was committed to our success. The only thing in would mention is that he had a short fuse and gets frustrated easily. I imagine it can be difficult doing this day after day. However, an person needs to manage their anger if they are... More

I first took the whale watching trip last Monday. It was absolutely fantastic. There was a running commentary by the captain, Lars, and we sailed all around the reefs of Depoe Bay watching whales spouting. While I didn't see any breach, you could see their backs and the spouts as they dove. It was great! I would do this again... More

We saw at least two whales, tails flipping up out of the water and all. The captain was professional and shared knowledgable facts about whales and the bay with us passengers. He and the deck hand were very polite. The front desk staff were polite and helpful. Highly recommend.

We saw a whale and had a nice boat ride looking at the Oregon coast. Even if we hadn't seen a whale, it would have been worth the cost for the scenery

My party went bottom fishing with Captain David Peterson on the Smokin Reel on Sunday and had a fantastic time. I can't say enough good things about our trip and have to say their "top ten reasons why to fish with dockside" on their website are absolutely true. Book a trip with Captain Dave, you won't regret it.

We booked a 5 hour rock fish and lingcod fishing trip for our dad's for fathers day and they had an excellent time. The water was low and very rough so the fishing was not th greatest but despite they had a great time and it was well worth the money. The next day we booked an hour long whale... More

Dockside Charters is right in the center on the harbor. The harbor is a really fascinating place formed by a lava flow years ago. I am told entering the harbor from the ocean takes a lot of skill. You can easily see why when looking down from the US 101 bridge which is high above the entrance. We were too... More
