My wife and I went out on the Samson Wed sept 10th with Capt Lars and deckhand Dave for Coho the two of them worked really hard moving around to locate the fish. They were successful and we limited out with a really great grade of fish. I have to say these were two of the best charter crews we... More

Overall, we had a good trip. I went out with my dad, who, unfortunately didn't catch a salmon, but I was lucky enough to catch one. The captain of the 50 foot boat called "Samson" seemed like a genuinely nice guy, and he seemed to do his best to get us into the fish during the trip. I was not... More

Had a charter with them on September 7th. We caught our limit of salmon in less than 2 hours of fishing and were back at the dock in time for breakfast. Also had a charter out of Newport the next day that was much less successful and had much poorer service. Both charters fished the same area (a few miles... More

6 of us went out with James on the Triumph - very good decision as that guy knows what he is doing - put us on the fish quick and did not mess around - did not miss a net attempt, (more that we could say about other charters on that trip) and was really working the area and intel... More

This is my favorite charter on the Oregon coast. Our boat (Samson) limited out with 28 salmon in 90 minutes. All were bright and beautiful. Thanks Capt. Lars and crewman Dave. Go Dockside for your next charter.

My husband and I had the pleasure of going out salmon fishing on the Affair with Captain Loren. It was truly the best experience we have ever had. Loren was amazing! He started out with the safety talk, then let us know how to handle the gear and finally, how we were to conduct ourselves as a 'team' when there... More

James is the most hard working skipper I have ever seen. He got us into a bunch of tuna and worked his tail off to keep lines in the water while landing 5 to 6 tuna per person

We had a better than expected time whale watching aboard Samson. The captain was very friendly and knowledgeable. We saw lots of whales! The only disappointment was that we didn't go much past the port to see them. Could have easily seen them from the whale watching viewing area next to the harbor, just not as close. Well worth the... I have been fishing saltwater for many years out of L.A., and this trip was by far the best. We were on the Endeavor and on fish all day. Ken the Skipper was great, very knowledgeable, he flat out knows what he is doing. Robert, Ken's deckhand was busy, very help full, and always there with the gaff. No doubt,... More

There were 3 couples in our group, the sun was shining and we were off. We were told that they had reports of a gray whale in the area. So we were going to go see if it could be seen. All 3 couples were on the bow of the boat with a family of 4 (as there were no... More
