Quirky, Funky, and Welcoming...My Favorite Theater in Corvallis!

What a treasure! The Darkside plays an array of those unusual, thought-provoking films that can be found nowhere else in this area. A wide variety of international films (some... read more

I love this place , but wow the chairs and access (in and out of your chair) is difficult. The chairs are uncomfi and if you sit next to a body odor , well, move!! but usually place is full for good movie so good luck. I hope to see better seating in all respects and I feel there is... More

What a treasure! The Darkside plays an array of those unusual, thought-provoking films that can be found nowhere else in this area. A wide variety of international films (some subtitled) and my favorite period dramas are always on the docket. Generally, once a week, an old classic is up for viewing with proceeds going to help in the improvement of... More

This is a small alternative movie theater in downtown Corvallis. The movies shown here always leaves a person pondering on the quality and variety of human experiences. The chairs have been acquired as used furniture and there is a rustic quality to the theaters. Nevertheless if you are less than satisfied with the chain movies and general senseless script they... I go see Films here VERY often - and leave feeling I saw something great, or I learned something, or felt something strongly. Every town should be so lucky to have an Indie Cinema - and for the rainy, gray winter months - tis a de"light".

If you are tired of the big chain theater then check out this place. Small but very charming and you get FREE refills on popcorn !

The only independent theater in town, so the only place to see foreign movies or films that are not big budget. Funky atmosphere. Funky, fun, unique owner.

This is a great venue for indie films! Small theaters with great views in a quirky environment. We even got Coke with real sugar. I'll be returning many times I'm sure.

They've got some interesting movie selections but the theaters are, I'll say, the cheap seats. And I mean cheap as in $5 chairs. With wires hanging around, posts in middle of room, cheap curtains. I admire them for their frugality and cheap eats, but people go to theaters to get a big screen experience. This is small screen, negative ambience.... More

I check out what's playing at the Darkside every time I'm in Corvallis, and there's always something good. Staff and clientele are friendly and know their films.

Relax sit back and enjoy a movie with friends in family in a intimate classic theater not a big box. Best selection of movies in Corvallis.
