Relax sit back and enjoy a movie with friends in family in a intimate classic theater not a big box. Best selection of movies in Corvallis.

If you want to see indy films or to catch something that you wouldn't see at the multiplex... this is the place. It continues to be funky... as are many indy film houses in smaller markets. Great place to see something unique.

This little theater was SO cool! I had no idea what to expect when heading there to see a Friday night movie with the family. Really neat and unique spot, like no place I've been before. The overall feel of the place is very comfortable, and holy smokes is it inexpensive! The theater itself feels like you're in a living... More

The Darkside is a great art-house theater. They clearly have a good distributor and consistently get good movies in for over a week. The Bijou in Eugene always has a much worse movie selection. I like the owner and am always impressed by the quality of the theaters and the snacks. It's definitely a great venue. I stop in as... More

This is the quintessential old time "different" movie theater. Good opportunity to see how it used to be....many years ago. Some interesting films...definitely not the usual fare.

Corvallis is fortunate that its Darkside is a great, locally owned and operated cinema where locals and visitors can see films that usually don't reach those boring "cinemaplex" film factories. In addition to the great line of films it screens, the Darkside also supports community groups by hosting fund-raiser films - can you imagine one of those "plexes" doing anything... More

An independent cinema with a laid-back vibe. You can get reduced rates on popcorn & soda by bringing in your own containers. Plus, when my husband brings in his own air-popped popcorn (no butter/oil), or I bring in my water bottle, there are no dirty looks!

If you love the big-screen experience of cinema with the casualness of your home and without the 'hype' of big- franchise cineplex venues, try the Darkside Cinema option. They feature not only the arthouse / foreign films, but even major films. The clientele is generally 30+, and leaning towards the intellectual side. Unlike big cineplexes who specialize in efficiently turning... More
