I found this worth going to, but not worth hanging out at. We fed the trout and looked at the sturgeon and looked in the egg incubation center, but no real way of getting infromation other than reading. No tour here. They did have a lovely coffee, But the kids we saw were really having a blast, so great free... More

There was a under current of excitement from children to the very old. Very accessible for those handicapped. There was so much to do and see! Even walking down the stairs! There were great paintings of fish and in one rendition of eels I saw a mans face looking back at me! Was this a self portrait by artist?

Almost every year when we visit the Columbia River Gorge we stop by Bonneville Dam and visit the fish hatchery and viewing center. The kids always get a kick out of the large sturgeon and love to buy a little fish food and feed the giant brood (brooder) trout they keep in the ponds. It only takes a short time... More

We always stop in to visit Herman the Sturgeon. We love to walk the grounds and feed the fish. We always learn something new. Weird thing though, every time I go into the gift shop I become physically ill like I want to pass out and throw up. Very odd indeed!

This place was great to visit on a leisure trip. Got to see a huge Sturgeon and how salmon and sturgeon are assisted to continue in their production.

I whent to Bonniville Dam to do some sturgeon fishing. We fished for 9 hours without catching anything. We decided to go to the viewing center to see Herman. We got to the tank and only saw a few small sturgeon, but then out of no where this 12 foot monster appeared in front of us. This was a incredible... More

My husband and I happened onto this while visiting the Bonneville Dam. You are able to see the salmon and steelhead trout being raised to go into the river as well as sturgeon. The flowers are worth the trip alone and everything was clean and well kept. This is well worth your time if you are in the area and... More
