Cannon Beach is a great place for a relaxing vacation. The beaches and State parks located within 10 miles are just awesome to explore and just relax on. Ther'e nothing better than exploring the tide pools during low tide, looking for sand dollars and the numerous different colored star fish! The town is small and friendly. In my opinion, Cannon Beach is the nicest and most charming city on the Oregon Coast. It's only a few blocks long and can be easily explored on foot. There are fun and funky gift shops, bakeries, art galleries, and good places to eat, all just a couple of blocks from the ocean. Haystack Rock and The Needles sit on... more

We had an extra night on our Oregon itinerary and someone suggested Cannon Beach. What a wonderful beach village to start our vacation!
