This is a small shop but it is well stocked. The staff was friendly to answer all my questions and they had an August sale on massive boards - from $695 and up. They have all the little gadgets you need for surfing and the shop is always busy. Nothing spectacular about it, but I think it will do the... More

Our stop-over at Cannon Beach was not planned (but we are so thankful that we made the last minute decision to stay)! Our two teenage girls wanted to try their hand at surfing, but I wasn't sure if we could schedule surfing lessons on such short notice. Cannon Beach Surf Shop came highly recommended by the staff @ the campground.... More

We did not SURF! But we had a ball at the Haystack Rock. This wide sandy beach is a must. Lovely volunteers there to help see the birds nesting on the rocks above.

The title says it all! No two days on this beach are the same. Simply!, this beach and it's surf provide so many things that common people tend to over look. Things like the various arts that come from just the touch of a paint brush, drawings, pictures and art that is abstract to the human eye. This beach provides... More

Not a surfing beach, Cannon Beach is a breath taking beach to relax and enjoy the beauty that abounds. At low tide you will be amazed at all Hay Stack rock has to offer. A great beach to take long or short walks on. Always leave refreshed and renewed and looking forward to our next visit. Great for couples, families,... More

Beautiful beach, very rustic and wild. Really brings you back to earth with just how small we human beings are on this vast planet. Truly an incredible experience.

Surf lesson was supposed to be 2 to 2 1/2 hours for $125 and you get to keep the gear for the day. We thought a 3-hour lesson would be more appropriate, but went for it anyway. You drive yourself from the shop to the beach (in Ecola State Park), and apparently that is part of the time you're paying... More

I just read your comments, and felt the need to respond. The first day of the lesson, you did come into the shop afterwards, and complained about the 70min. lesson, and the fact that you broke the middle fin out of the fiberglass surfboard you had rented. My response to you was " the instructor is a "private contractor", and... More

The owner personally took the time to chat with us and gave us a good deal on surf gear rentals...We were on our Honeymoon from Boise Idaho and decided to try a day of surfing. (note to self- do NOT think for one minute that JUST because I/we snowboard, that surfing will be a cakewalk...Omg did I (actually WE) suck... More
