We go here every year; I know - the flowers look the same but it is just so dazzling and beautiful and so peaceful. Go for their festival on Labor Day week-end to see their special displays!

Not sure how long the blooming season is but August and September are the prime times. We enjoyed our visit though unless you real want to study them, less then an hour is needed. Nice gift shop and the drive down from Portland was easy. Im not a big dog person but as we got there the UPS truck was... More

As a gardner, a flower lover and an avid photographer, this venue is an absolute marvel during August and September. We went at 4:PM and the place was almost empty. Two hours later, it was all ours and it was amazing and wonderful walk. Guessing that had we boarded a flight to Europe or anywhere in the world, we would... More

A seemingly-endless variety variety of floral splendor. I am an avid photographer who has traveled the world-over looking for worthy images. The most-compelling floral photo I have ever captured was in the Swan Island Dahlia fields. I highly recomment tour visiting during the bloom season of late July through the month of August.

This is a very quiet, peaceful attraction. The dahlia's were beautiful and I loved the names. My favorite was Vixen and Pooh. The staff was also very friendly.

If you love dahlias, then this should definately be on your to do list. Every year they hold their annual dahlia festival with various venders and music. You are allowed to walk the fields and photograph the gorgeous blooms. If you would like to learn all about growing and propagating the tubers, they have classes throughout the day. They even... Swan Island Dahlia farm is quite possibly the best dahlia farm in the country. Of course, I live close by and visit every year. It is simply spectacular. Acres and acres of dahlias in every variety with new ones being developed on an ongoing basis. Be ready to take a hundred or two pictures. Enjoy the demonstrations or be content... More

Dahlias are one of natures most spectacular blooms. They run the gamut from super-sized to miniature, from near-black to white and every color in between, and Swan Island Dahlias has them all and then some since they are known for hybridizing an array of new offerings every year. The Swan Island Dahlia Festival, held at the end of August every... More

I am fortunate enough to live close to these beautiful gardens. The customer service is over and above the top, the flowers are stunning and ordered items are shipped and delivered just as promised. Don't miss this garden in August during the Dahlia Festival. Love the Gitts family!
