More modern day than other Coastal Oregon towns

More modern day than other Coastal Oregon towns. Not like Newport and other coastal towns that have that Historic feel. Nice town

Beautiful place to live as well as visit with lots of great places to eat. The beaches are so nice with their large rocks and if you are lucky you might find some agates. I live here year round so I am a happy camper.

Quiet, friendly small town. Not the easiest to get to. But worth the drive. Needs a few more houses to rent. Short supply for newly relocating people. Maybe considering this in my future.

Always a great time, no matter the weather. VooDoo Lounge is a favorite, tons of stuff to do on the beach!

This town has friendly locals and great resturants, Pacific Sushi and grill, Sporthaven Marina, Zolas Pizzeria, and the Black Trumpet Bistro.

Less expensive to live than some other coastal towns. Both in housing prices and food, gas, etc. Large enough to support a Fred Meyer's and a Ray's grocery stores. There is an art supply store, music store, kids store, an antique store, many good second had stores, and a theatre, in addition to a lot of dining options, ranging from... More

I liked the Botanical gardens and fountain when you enter the town. It has a Harbor section below, and the town is up above. We went to Fred Meyers to get a camping mattress, and to buy some clothes for our grandson. They have everything there! The Harris Beach Campground is only one mile away, and there is a walking... A lot to do in the area, close to conveniences (large stores, fast food, markets, day trips). We loved Brookings

We have enjoyed being in Brookings and have stayed overnight. There is a nice harbor area; this time there was a fishing contest going on in town so that was fun to see as well. We also enjoyed the views of the ocean from Sebastian's, which is the resturant we dined at. Its a nice little seaside town very close... More

A beautiful well-kept and uncrowded coastal town! Apparently it's far enough away from the Portland crowd that even over Spring Break it wasn't overrun with people. Add in scenic nearby beaches, rugged cliffs, and serene views up the Chetco River, mix with warmer weather than further north on the OR coast, and it's a winning combination!
