I've been coming to Boardman State park since the 60's. The park is huge and stretches for miles along the coast and highway 101. There are many great beaches to walk, or coves to explore, or vistas to take in along it's trails. Great park!

This is a wonderful park that goes on for miles. We stopped at several places along the route and walked the trails. The weather stopped us from going more places.....30 mile an hour winds!

Samuel Boardman State Park is a series of trails along the coast including the beach. It is one of the most beautiful coastlines I have ever seen. We hike a different part almost daily. There are hikes for all levels and ages of hikers. You will see seals, whales (seasonal), osprey and many other types of wild life. Make sure... More

The Spruce Island trail is 5 stars. Secret Beach is a dream. WE ate lunch here and it is one of our top 10. We have hiked 25 National Parks.

The perfect beach to visit while in Brookings! No fee, very clean! Adorable squirrels and birdies to visit with :) Picnic area/tables, clean bathrooms, and above all, this beach is ACCESSIBLE!!! Ramp all the way down to the sand!

None other like it along the pacific coastal region of the united states of America. You have to go to see for yourself.

This park offers the traveler a series of beautiful views from Highway 101. The highway is only a little more than 50 years old in this area so the view is something we can appreciate for not always having been there. Highway 101 has no shortage of beautiful vistas but the this stretch is among the best.

This is our go to beach in Brookings. My son loves to search for crabs, small fish and sea anemones, especially at low tide. I love to climb the grassy hills and sing, "The hills are alive . . . " The view from up there is spectacular. Wear tennis shoes and bring lunch!

Mr. Boardman was a visionary. Being from the Gulf Coast, it's not hard to imagine high-rise condos all along this beautiful pristine coast. Thankfully that will never happen here. We were in Brookings for over a month and traversed this area several times, thoroughly enjoying the sunsets from Arch Rock Viewpoint, the walks on several of the beaches and some... More

Samuel Boardman is a State "Scenic Area". Highway 101 runs right through it and there is no fee to enter. We have been to probably all of the little "viewpoint" parking areas along the 12 mile stretch of the scenic corridor. Some of the areas require walking along a trail to see the views, but in other areas you can... More
