Can't take a bad picture here!

Gorgeous scenic views at every turn off. Take it slow and enjoy every moment! Only about 10 miles but you'll want to take the day!

Take advantage of the several pull-out to take peeks through the trees, and along the short trails to glimpse this rugged coastline!

The Samuel H Boardman State Scenic Corridor on Highway 101 from mile marker 344.1 to 353.3 has got to be the most spectacular 9 miles on the Oregon Coast, if not the entire Pacific Coast. We drove from Brookings north to Gold Beach - and spent over two hours on that nine mile stretch. There are dozens of scenic viewpoints... More

Gives Big Sur a run for its money! With numerous pullouts, parking areas, and miles of hiking trails, one could easily spend a whole day here. Impressive seastacks, wind-swept trees, isolated beaches, and all sorts of driftwood to explore, plus not crowded at all in the middle of Spring Break!

Samuel Boardman has tons of wonderful beaches as well as hikes. One of our favorite to the dogs is Whale's Head Beach. It is a fairly long for the area and is only accessible by car on one end. This makes letting your dogs run off leash very safe. Local dog owners like to bring their dogs here for that... More
