We looked down from above and made mental notes to come back with our grandsons. It was a lovely beach and not crowded.

Another great beach on the southern Oregon coast. Beautiful place for photos, great tide pools when the tide is out. Friendly squirrels -- watch out!

This beach has it all. Rocks, sea stacks, driftwood, tide pools, accessible access, wide beach, and nice picnic benches. Open early and closed late. My favorite in the Brookings area.

This beach is a well-kept secret. It is great for kids and dogs and seniors too. There are lots of changes of scenery due to the high tides and winters storms. Lots of driftwood, tide pools, waves crashing on huge rocks off the coast. Depending on your energy level, there are rocks to climb and plenty of adventures. There is... More

Every time we are in Brookings, we go to this beach for tide-pooling at low tide. We have seen all kinds of crabs, barnacles, and starfish (even a sunflower starfish!). There is parking, picnic tables, and a fairly easy path to the beach. The bathrooms are passable (no-flush toilets, but better than a porta-potty). Bring rubber boots so you can... More

Even on busy summer weekend days, a short walk south on the beach will soon make you feel you have the place to yourself. Or head north up the cape for incredible views and sweeping grasslands covered with irises thru June. You can keep hiking north thru old-growth forests up to House Rock. A beautiful, primordial spot all around. If... More

As others have said: sand, waves, tide pools, beauty! All that and you don't have to hike to it (like so many other beaches in the area).

This beach is so breath-taking. Never too busy as most travelers do not know how nice it is. Lots of picnic tables and paved trail to the sand. I will say the bathrooms are outhouses and not too nice smelling. But if you like to climb around in tide pools or just watch the waves hit the large rocks this... More

The park is just off of Highway 101 about four miles north of Brookings. Even in the middle of summer you will often find only a few cars in the parking lot. You are guaranteed to find a beuatiful spot with just you and the waves. It's not a wind surfing spot but it's great for kids running in the... More
