I like the inlet, it's safe for kids. They had nice and clean bathrooms, but there's nowhere to clean you sandy feet.

You can get all kinds of brochures and information at Crissey Park for both the California and Oregon side. The beach itself is family friendly.

Living in Brookings we have several options for long walks on the beach. This is one of the best! Pristine sands, big waves and gorgeous sunsets!

Although it's a considerable walk to the actual beach, it's worth stopping at the information center. Beautiful building and lots of brochures as well as history and artifacts. The people manning this information booth are informed and very helpful.

What a wonderful place. The beach is the best along that Brookings corridor. Beautiful driftwood, gorgeous surf. We shall visit it many times over the next several months.

This is a must see park along the 101 HWY. What makes this beach special is the fresh water inlet of the Winchuck River. The artsy look of the sand ripples on the shoreline really made my day. I walked along the water and enjoyed the energy of the pounding waves and ocean breezes. I thought that the structure at... More

This is a simply horrible example to set when entering the beautiful state of Oregon. It is simply an ugly concrete bunker containing free maps, etc. Bypass this monstrosity and continue to Coos Bay and get a real feeling of the State of Oregon.
