Todd Lake is about 22 miles from Bend, the first lake past Mt. Bachelor. It is a small pond shaped lake nestled at the base of Broken Top. It's the first left past Dutchman's Flat. About 1/2 mile off the road, easily accessible by truck or BMW. There is a Parking lot ( small ) and a short walk (... More

This is my "go to lake" for a quick easy hike in Bend. Just beyond Mt. Bachelor on Cascade Lakes Highway, this is the perfect place to bring kids, grandparents, dogs, etc. The trail circles the lake and is almost completely flat.

The short hike into Todd Lake is very nice for all age groups and for those with less mobility. Even the pit bathroom is adorable. It looks like a small cottage.

Just a short drive of 30 minutes will get you to the trailhead for a short walk to this beautiful lake. Bring your camera. In the winter you can snowshoe or cross country ski to this lake.

I wish I had spent more time here! This is an easy walk around the lake, and it is beautiful. There was not a lot of other people there either, which made it also nice and peaceful. There were still some snow drift on the ground, which my dogs got a kick out of and they loved running up and... More

I went to Todd Lake with my fiancee and we hiked the trail around the lake over labor day weekend! This is a great small hike for anyone that wants to get outdoors and see some beatiful scenery and the water. The whole trail goes around the lake and opens up in the middle to a beautiful view of Mt... More

In early summer you may get your shoes somewhat wet do to snow melt, but the trail is easy and there are lovely mountain views. It's not far from Bend and a nice place to visit.

From the USFS website: "Do not remove frogs or tadpoles from Todd Lake. Todd Lake is home for the Western Toad and Cascade Frog. Both of these species are threatened by loss of wetlands, habitat degredation, and environmental changes. They are protected by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and collecting of these species is illegal and punishable with... More
