There is a nice snow shoeinig trail from the Nordic Center at Bachelor Mountain up to Todd Lake. You can rent skis or snow shoes at the Nordic Center for a reasonable price. The trail weaves through hills and follows a creek through a winter wonderland to Todd Lake. There are snowmobile trails there also, but they were not too... More

Beautiful lake where you can cross country in winter and swim in the summer. Surrounded by Mt Bachelor on one side and Broken Top on the other. A photographers play ground. Trail leads all the way around the lake. Takes about an hour for a walk. Short dirt road in. Bath rooms with pit toilets. More

This is the perfect place to take a picnic and walk around the lake with your family. The walk around the lake isn't strenuous or long. My favorite "go to" lake for a quick trip from Bend. Bring paraphenalia for catching frogs and/or tadpoles depending on what time of year you head up. The elevation is higher than a lot... More

Wildflowers, Tadpoles, Frogs, BEAUTIFUL setting for a nice day in nature. Pack a picnic, bring your suit and enjoy the day. Our 2 1/2 year old could walk almost aroudn the whole thing. It is a nice melow for the most part flat walk, once you get to the lake from the parking lot. You WILL NOT BE DISAPOINTED!!!! More

This is a great lake to go for a short walk around any time of year. Just take your snowshoes in winter. It is a fast and easy way to show out of town visitors what are mountains have to offer. Great for even small kids. It is an easy walk. More

Very short little jaunt from the parking area. Gorgeous. If you go to Sparks lake, take an hour or so and stop by this one. More

Come on, the picture just about says it all. Todd Lake trailhead is just off Century Drive heading to Mt. Bachelor. You need a parking pass and shoes that can get wet. Walk around the entire lake and if you have kids, the summer brings tadpole/frog extravaganza that they will love. Picnic spots available, but usually in the shade. WEar... More
