In early summer you may get your shoes somewhat wet do to snow melt, but the trail is easy and there are lovely mountain views. It's not far from Bend and a nice place to visit.

From the USFS website: "Do not remove frogs or tadpoles from Todd Lake. Todd Lake is home for the Western Toad and Cascade Frog. Both of these species are threatened by loss of wetlands, habitat degredation, and environmental changes. They are protected by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and collecting of these species is illegal and punishable with... More

Go past Mt. Bachelor on Century Drive out of Bend. Turn into Todd Lake. Park. Take the trail around the lake. You can see what you are getting yourself into from the start. Easy! The best part of it all is the absolute jaw-drop view from everywhere.

My husband and I asked an employee at local REI about favorite hiking trails and this was suggested as a short hike (2.1 miles RT). After hiking the happy Valley trail (8mi RT) near Tumalo Falls trailhead, we decided to get back on the trail for a shorter hike as the weather was sunny and the air crisp! The cascade... More

About one and a half mile hike around a mountain lake with beautiful views. Mountain meadows with wildflowers in bloom in summer.

My family and I took an early - morning hike on a 2 mile loop trail around Todd Lake, which turned out to be much better than we had expected, with beautiful views around every corner. not only did the hike show the lake, but also the springs that fed it. It was a well - kept trail, but my... More

Another great lake to visit while visiting the Bend area. Don't forget your camera because the lakes are clear enough to see the reflections of the snow capped mountains in them. The wildflowers and wildlife is abundant and the hike around the lake is peaceful and family friendly. It takes about an hour to walk around the lake and I... More

What a gorgeous place tucked in the woods. From Bend, travel 24.0 miles west on Cascade Lakes Highway (46), then 0.5 miles north on Forest Road 4600 370 to Todd Lake Trailhead. It is a 0.5 mile hike to the lake. There is parking at the trailhead and it a short walk to the lake. It took us 50 minutes... More

Listen and look for the babbling brook along the short hike into this 45 acre lake. Sit under pines while you drift, mentally, around this serene setting. Cool at 6,150 feet.

Todd Lake can be quite busy but the view is very pretty. There is a trail that goes around the whole lake. The parts that reach the north part of the lake can get very muddy, so be aware. This makes (at least for me) a not so pleasant part of the walk.
