You can meet the farmers and ranchers that grow the food that you put on your table. The growers will show you their fields and pastures, the places that make their products so unique that you will begin to understand and appreciate what fresh, local, organic, seasonal and sustainable food is all about! Our cooking classes are the best! Chef Bette teaches children as well as the experienced cook new things to do in the kitchen. From Wood Fired Cuisine in her pizza oven paired with Bend' famous beers to French pastry or children's classes, a day in the kitchen with Chef Bette is a memorable event. « less

My husband and I spent a couple of days in Bend while touring Oregon. The highlight of this gorgeous area were the tours we booked with the Well Traveled Fork and chef Bette. We signed up for a farm to fork tour which took us to 3 fantastic farms; a goat farm which raises goat meat, a red wattled pig... More

This was the highlight of our trip to the Bend area! We visited three different farms - and they were different. While they all had the same focus- real, organic food, they all did it in a different way. The farmers were so generous and willing to answer all of my many questions. You could tell they really love what... More

Thanks for the review! Even in the middle of February, there was still a lot "growing on" in the greenhouses and pastures of each farm. I had a great time getting to know you two on our tour throughout some of Central Oregon's finest farms. More

What a great evening at Chef Bette's "Meatless Monday" cooking class! We scarfed down some fabulous food, learned some handy tips, and enjoyed interesting conversation with a small group of friendly folks from the community! Chef Bette was the perfect hostess and chef-instructor! The time flew by, and I'll be back again! More

For our holiday celebration we chose to do a cooking class rather than go out to dinner like many years before. The Well Traveled Fork website was inviting in a variety of options. We travelled out of town 3 hours to stay overnight in Bend, and gather around Chef Bette's beautiful kitchen the next morning. We learned how to prepare... More

Chef Bette was a wonderful host! We learned a lot on our visit. She was very friendly and helpful with many tips for improving my cooking ability. Her knowledge base and expertise shined through when tasting the final product! Learning to cook Italian style pizza in the wood burning pizza oven was a memorable experience! Thanks again Chef Bette! More

The Buckboard, Biscuits, and Beer tour was a fantastic way to not only get a look at beautiful Bend, but to taste some of the best beers around...with a tasty lunch and the company of great hosts, we did not want to leave our cozy perch! I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting a look at and a taste... More

I recently attended a cooking class by The Well Traveled Fork and taught by Chef Bette Fraser. It was one in a series called "New Chicken Ideas". The recipes included: Chicken with Tequila Lime Marinade, The Best Roasted Chicken, Goat Cheese Stuffed Chicken Breasts and Rhubarb Salsa! The chicken came fresh from local farmers so we were able to see... More
