Owner description: The Well Traveled Fork offers insightful culinary tours and cooking classes in the Central Oregon area. You can meet the farmers and ranchers that grow the food that you put on your table. The growers will show you their fields and pastures, the places that make their products so unique that you will begin to understand and appreciate what fresh, local, organic, seasonal and sustainable food is all about! Our cooking classes are the best! Chef Bette teaches children as well as the experienced cook new things to do in the kitchen. From Wood Fired Cuisine in her pizza oven paired with Bend' famous beers to French pastry or children's classes, a day in the kitchen with Chef Bette is a memorable event.

My husband, mother-in-law, and I were visiting Bend for the first time and thought taking the Culinary Secrets tour would be a perfect way to get to know Bend in a more interesting and intimate manner. We were not disappointed! I called Megan a few days earlier to book our tour and she was attentive, thoughtful, and accommodating and even... More

Bette was a great teacher. We spent the evening making the most amazing pizzas and dessert. She's easy to listen to, talk to and is extremely professional. I loved the hands on learning. It is definitely something I'll do again!!

My husband, sister and I took the Culinary Tour with Meiko. We enjoyed it tremendously and plan on taking another culinary tour next time we are in town. We will shortly be moving to Bend and this tour introduced us to many local shops that we might not have found on our own. Meiko was a delight. She was friendly,... More

Megan was fabulous and her shared knowledge of local spots was very interesting. We plan to re-visit many places along the insider path. We met local coffee roasters, pastry chefs, executive chefs, tea brewers, and spice connoisseurs, all of whom were eager to share their secrets and samples. A Bend Must Do Tour.

We took the Secrets of Bend Culinary Tour and were surprised and delighted by the places we visited and the culinary treats we sampled. A side of Bend's great food and drink scene we knew nothing about. Our guide, Natalie, was informative, knowledgeable, and fun. We highly recommend this or any of the Fork's other tours.
