One of the other reviewers commented on the skiing not being very good. That reviewer had the misfortune of being there at the time when "historic" storms were pummeling the Northwest. I don't doubt that the road was miserable in blizzard-like conditions and that it was miserable skiing. I skied at Mt Bachelor today, and it was a pristine day... more

We recently returned from Mount Bachelor where we spent four days "skiing." We have been to nearby Sunriver several times during the summer, which we really enjoy, but had never been to Mt. Although Mt. Bachelor offers the best skiing at an Oregon resort, be aware that their on-line ski report is notoriously inaccurate. In particular, the winds at Mt. Bachelor can be terrible on a fairly regular basis (40 mph +) yet their ski report almost always states 'Light Winds'. This problem is a common joke among the locals but could be... more
