A Picturesque Lighthouse - Viewed from Old Town Bandon

The view from Old Town Bandon is great. We watched fishing boats heading out from the river to the ocean. The lighthouse is very picturesque.

Pretty blah in my opinion. But the volunteers inside had some interesting info so it was worth the trip.

Easy to get to. But you can no longer go up the tower, "due to safety reasons". I'm not surprised of the change. Last time I visited there was nothing in the tower to view anyway (including missing windows) and on a foggy day (aren't they all), nothing to see. The foghorn building at the base of the tower appears... More

Nice lighthouse to visit. You can take a tour and see the wonderful view. Very nice to photograph at any time of day, but sunset especially. The beach is usually full of driftwood and little rocks. It's fun to find interesting driftwood to make things out of. If you look carefully, you can also find fossils and petrified wood. The... More

Super helpful couple running the museum/gift shop. It's an experience to walk out on the rocks and watch the sea splash up. Scary and thrilling all at the same time!

Not too much to say about this - it is a cute little lighthouse. There is some historical info inside which was interesting. You can get a good picture of the town from here if the mist isn't in.

An amazing stop along the coast. Spent 30 min watching the boats and locals fish for crab. This is a beautiful lighthouse that brings you back to another era. Wonderfully maintained and a place of peace and beauty

Definitely worth a visit - enjoyed speaking with the knowledgeable volunteer staff - need to check there hours because it is staffed by volunteers with donations only for admission. Walking on the jetty is fun. Lighthouse tower is not accessible - everything is in the fog room on ground floor. Can walk out on the jetty from there but beware... More

Interesting to drive up to it and to see the area. Nice drive out to the light house through a great dunes park.

The volunteers were very helpful and my kids loved the stickers. Check the website to see if the actual lighthouse tower is open. Kind of a let down expecting to see the lighthouse and only see a small room.
