Beautiful lighthouse at the head of the river.

Plenty of room for a beach walk or walking around the lighthouse. I missed the tour since it was closed for the season.

A picture suffices. Not that exciting. Keep going down the beach for more things to see. Pretty though and easy to find.

The coast line is wonderful to view and enjoy what nature has created. It is wild and untamed beauty. Just sitting and watching the waves is relaxing and restful. Worth the stop and maybe pack a light lunch and just enjoy.

This lighthouse was so faded and storm weary it looks like it hasn't been cleaned or painted in 20 years!

Very cool original lighthouse. Not working anymore but was fun to see right on the levee between the Coquille River and the Pacific Ocean.

This lighthouse was closed for the season when we visited but we always enjoy finding the various lighthouses and visiting the enveloping area. This lighthouse is located within Bullards Beach State Park and is relatively easy to find but it is about 3 miles into the park at the end of thd road. There are signs to guide you to... More

We were not there when it was opened but we toured the grounds and then walked out on the man made concrete pier which helps to lead boats into the bay area. What an experience. Do this while the tide is out and you get a true appreciation for what the brave men faced in order to construct the lighthouse... More

The lighthouse offers a good photo op early in the morning with boats going out to sea. Easy pull off from the road to take the photos.

We trekked to the lighthouse (which is north of town) at Bullards Beach. The lighthouse is not operable and is closed. The location is beautiful to take in... the beach is wide and open (no coves, etc.) - There is the Jetty (which you can walk on)... This is unique. Overall, (in our opinion) it would be an average stop.

We both love lighthouses and their history. It was a windy but clear day, with the tide out we walked to the near end of the jetty while we watched the waves crash against the rocks. Keep a weather eye at all times though as a rouge wave could easily wash one away.
