This was one of my favorite lighthouses on the OR coast, We stayed at Bullards Beach Camground and were able to walk to lighthouse. The volunteers are so informative and you can schedule a time to walk to top of lighthouse.

This was one of the lighthouses on our must-see lighthouse tours in southern Oregon. It not my favorite because it is non-working lighthouse, but still a lot of history surrounding this site. I took a tour to the lense room, but without the lense, which was removed when the lighthouse was decommissioned, too bad, that would have made it a... More

Easy access through Bullards Beach State Park ... well marked roadway. Lighthouse appears to be going through renovations. We got there at 5:30pm just to miss the opportunity to visit (11-5 daily within season (May-Oct). The beach is also quite scenic with drift wood.

We liked the location and historical significance. The adjacent beach was great for a long walk.... lots of driftwood, birds, rocks, etc.

Park in the Jetty parking lot. From there you have great photo ops of the lighthouse, seagulls, the ocean and the various rock formations. Many times is it quite windy and foggy so hopefully you will visit on a clear and not so breezy day, but even if it is, it is worth stopping. It is a short walk to... More

On this visit the lighthouse was open and visitors could climb to the top. The beach is easily accessible from the parking area.

We have camped in this area several times over the years and finally got a chance to enter and climb to the top. The gentleman volunteer gave us a good historical overview of the lighthouse and the area. A special treat was the opportunity to view two gray whales playing in the harbor entrance. This lighthouse does not function but... More

On a recent "Girls weekend" away, a friend an I visited this park. The light house history is amazing. The beach is WINDY and blustery on most days, so bring a jacket. The beach itself is void of any rock formations-but still pretty. Please be careful of the sneaker waves. Do not allow small children to frolic with out close... More

When the disastrous 1936 Bandon fire leveled the entire town, the only building left standing was the Coquille River Lighthouse or Bandon Light. What a history surrounds this colorful red and white structure! And thanks to the lighthouse volunteers, this story remains alive. When the South Jetty was being built which was to protect the mouth of the Coquille River,... More
