Great vantage point overlooking one of Oregon's most beautiful sections of coastline. You can see the face in the rock peering out of the ocean looking at the sky. There are several nearby motels to choose from if you would like to spend more time here.

We travel to take photographs. Bandon Beach is an iconic location at sunset, especially at low tide. We arrived on a foggy overcast day, and captured the sea stacks through the mist.

We went in May and there were only a scattering of people up along the cliffs over the beach. It is a truly beautiful spot and I recommend walking the length of it (you can see down to the lighthouse at the north end). It is a fantastic spot for taking photos and enjoying a peaceful break. Parking is right... More

The Oregon coast is some of the most beautiful coastline you can experience in the United States! Awesome rock formations!

The view is breathtaking. It is easy to get to and is a short distance from the hotel. It is totally worth your time and effort to go see it. The rock is called Face Rock because the rock resembles a face.

Visited Face Rock State Beach on April 20, 2015. I was awed from the moment I approached the cliffs edge overlooking the beach....what a sight! Made my way to the south jetty as I switched from picking up beautiful agates washing up on the beach and taking pictures as I walked along the tide line. From the south jetty, I... More

We visited on a misty cool weekday morning when not a child, dog or adult was present; we had the place to ourselves. Spent nearly 2 hours on the beach walking and taking pictures. Wish we were able to experience this beach at sunset, it's a magical place. Stairway down to the beach is user friendly.

Even the locals come here every evening to watch the amazing sunsets. There are nice benches to sit on and public trails to walk along here that give awesome views of the beach and ocean, as well as wildlife.
