We are in Tulsa to visit family and they decided to take us to the zoo. We love zoos! This one, not so much. Being from South Georgia we are used to pleasantries and nice folk. Every encounter with an employee was terrible, except for Brittany (who was working at the train ticket booth). Even the people visiting the zoo... More

I love to take my family to the Tulsa zoo, we are always guaranteed a wonderful family day. Usually go in the afternoon when the park is slower. We only get about a quarter of the way through with looking at allthe things and doing stuff because my children love it so much.

My 13 year-old daughter has been wanting to visit Oklahoma for 5 years now. She couldn't tell me what she wanted to see, only that she wanted to go to Oklahoma. So after a little research, we determined that Tulsa is the largest city in eastern OK and if you are looking for a way to spend the day in... More

I was here for an after-hours event so probably did not experience the usual offering, but I thought what I saw was great. The animal houses were imaginatively laid out and well connected together, there was plenty of interest to see outside of the enclosures, the grounds were neat and well looked after. They had some unusual animals too.

We really enjoyed it! The zoo was very clean, the staff was friendly and the pets look healthy. We also enjoyed the train ride and the picnic table with the birds and their babies walking close to us. The only thing is the odor in the interior attraction, where the bobcat (or wild cat?) is. The smell was very awful,... More

There are better zoos in the world, but they are in much bigger cities. I think the Tulsa Zoo does pretty well considering the size of the community and the limited budget that dictates.

I grew up around St. Louis, so I'm used to the zoo being free. However, I understand that most zoos charge like Tulsa Zoo, so I won't hold that against them. The zoo itself was great, a good selection of animals, setup nicely, some good demonstrations. It kept the family entertained for around 6 hours.
