I liked the wide variety of art, a little bit of everything (except Asian). I really liked the collection of weaved baskets and pottery; this is not my normal preference of art but it was very impressive and expansive here. The gardens were very nice as well. Definitely worth 1 - 1 1/2 hours.

The museum collection and grounds are incredibly engaging. The Sunday brunch is awesome. There is variety in selection that is carefully prepared. Although the brunch is a buffet, each item is prepared so that each dish is a wonderful experience in flavor and texture despite waiting for a guest to choose it.

Philbrook has a little bit of everything from an art perspective - traditional European art, modern, American, and Indian pottery (in the lower level.) On this visit, there was also a special exhibit of Native American art. We had a rainy cold day, but I'd recommend exploring the grounds when the weather is good.

Philbrook is THE museum of the Southwest and located in Tulsa off Gilcrease Museum Drive (North Tulsa). Philbrook docents are extremely fanatical about observing tradition - Old West Masters in full attendance. There are whole rooms dediated to some of the most acclaimed western art in the country this side of the Rio Grande.Philbrook Museum is known throughout the country... More

We definitely got some grumbles from the kids when we said we wanted to go to an art museum, but upon arrival, there were a few things they were excited about seeing too. The museum holds a fundraiser each year at Christmas that includes trees made and/or decorated by local artists or groups, so we walked that gallery first. It... More

My wife and I attended a Downton Abbey season 5 event at the Philbrook Museum. It's an incredible venue. Very nice facility and very clean throughout. Our next visit will be to appreciate the art as well. Definitely visit if you're looking for something to do in Tulsa.

The building and grounds are stunning. We went to see the Italian Renaissance collection, which was actually not that great. The best collection is the Native American pottery and baskets, and there is some nice 19th century American stuff.

Tucked away in mid town Tulsa - makes you feel you are isolated once inside this mansion and grounds that belonged to oil baron Waite Phillips. The place is so huge it is hard to believe it was ever anyone's home! It is three stories of massive, ornate structure filled with art and artifact, not to mention a gift shop... More
