Whether you are Methodist or not this church is a must see. The art deco architecture is truly stunning both inside and outside. Pay attention to the detail in the lighting fixtures.

A much loved friend's daughter was married in this church many years ago and it is simply beautiful inside and out. It is definitely a must see for any visit to Tulsa.

What a stunning church! I have never seen anything like it, and no photograph I have seen even begins to do it justice. And words fail me to describe it--it is a work of art. Just go see it if you can.

This place had the most beautiful, tall stained glass windows all around it, and the sanctuary was enormous! It was such a peaceful location to visit. I just loved it. I would certainly go back for another visit, and possibly attend a service there!

Visited the church for a mission conference and found the building to be very unique and functional. The entrance is well laid out with a large foyer/gathering area and a well stocked book shop. The sanctuary itself is awe inspiring. I hear that they have a very dedicated staff and the services are well attended. Our meeting rooms were good... More

The best way to see the church is to ask for a tour. So many interesting stories about the architecture. Boston Avenue has received much acclaim nationwide for its art deco architecture. It's a big church downtown and a lovely place to worship.

The fact that this church exists is absolutely amazing. More amazing is that it is in Tulsa, Oklahoma! And it was built in 1929. An absolute gem of deco-it reminded me of Sagrada Familia I Barcelona. It is that imposing. We were not able to tour the inside-do check the website to see if you can-I assume it would be... More

This architecture stands out in Tulsa. It is very picturesque. Built in 1929, the church contains a lot of symbolism in its design. I had a friend that married here in the evening hours. If you have the desire the services are good here too. After 11AM they give tours. Below is info taken from their website: "Guided tours of... More

I worked on staff assisting with Deaf Interpretation of religious services. Tours are offered. Check with the office for days and times. It is a magnificent piece of art to view inside and out. The organ is perfect for concerts (although First Methodist organ is even more pleasurable) Riding the elevator is a privilege and provides excellent views of the... More

Definitely not something you'll see often. If you like the Art Deco style, this is an amazing application of it to a church. The soaring tower is decorated with angular abstract designs and figures, all beautifully integrated into a harmonic whole. (Please forgive the alliteration.) Unfortunately, I visited at a time when the church was closed, so I could not... More
