This ranch is a great place to take kids to see what life was like in Oklahoma at the turn of the 20th century. It also has a wonderful view overlooking Oologah Lake. More

I went to this place on a whim after a saw a sign along the road. I was pleasantly surprised at this gem of a cultural attraction. The thing I liked most about this place was that it was completely self directed. They have the house and barn set up so that you can walk through and learn as much... More

I have always been a big fan of Will Rogers, so visiting his homestead was very exciting for me. It sits up on a hill overlooking the most breathtaking view of the countryside and the lake I could ever imagine. It's very well kept and very relaxing. A great family outing. More

I have been a longtime (almost 60 years) fan of Will Rogers. I was just a child when I discovered him and have been following him my whole life. My husband and I decided to go to the Memorial for his 132nd birthday. Our last trip was Nov 4, 1979 for his 100th birthday. It was wonderful then because his... More

The USS St Lo 27th Reunion group visited the Will Rogers Birthplace in Oologah and traveled by bus to the Memorial in Claremore. This experience will take one back in time, very relaxing and beautiful view from the birthplace in Oologah. The staff were intertaining and gave an informative speech regarding Will's past. Would highly recommend the visit. More

If you are in Claremore at the Will Rogers Memorial (which I highly, highly recommend), you may as well just drive the ten or so highway miles up to the birth home of Will Rogers. It is free and well preserved, though the ranch itself (the original one, that is) is largely underneath Oogolah Lake now, the home was moved... More

After we visited the Will Rogers Memorial and Museum in Claremore, a staff member gave us directions to the Dog Iron Ranch, which is the Birghplace of Will Rogers. Today the Ranch and birthplace sits on the shore of Lake Oologah. The staff and caretaker at the birthplace were great and treated us like old friends rather than tourists. They... More
