What made this museum worth visiting is the Chihuly glass exhibit-wow! I found the rest of the museum relatively typical of small town museums.

Located in downtown Oklahoma City's Arts District, you'll find outstanding collections, and the unique, lovely Chihuly glass - renowned to be the best in the world. Don't forget to bring your camera. Ask if flash is allowed and, if not, there's enough light here to capture the beauty of the glass. One of the floors is devoted to a period... More

The display of Faberage was a great day out, the curator had organized the exhibit very well, and it was a pleasure to meander around the exhibit and marvel over the beautiful details of each piece.

We have visited the Oklahoma City Museum of Art on two occasions, driving from Fort Worth, Texas, specifically due to the quality of the exhibits. The permanent collection of glass by Dale Chihuly is worth a visit alone, but if you can catch a special exhibit that you are interested in, you will not be disappointed.

They have a Thursday night music on the roof........GO. We sawe Born in November and had a blast. They let you look at the art for a lower price and its worth a quick trip through.

This is a wonderful museum with many fabulous painting and sculptures. We were especially impressed with the Chihuly glass exhibition, a permanent exhibit. It was breath-taking, especially the two boats of glass articles. We were also impressed by the original art works throughout the museum. The Faberge display was a real treat. Just to see the beautiful workmanship was incredible.

This is a fun museum and they have several modern pieces. It only takes a hour or two to see it all. Of course you could take longer if you wanted. My kids (ages 12 & 10) lasted about an hour.

This museum is a fairly new building in the heart of downtown next to the Civic Center, having opened in 2002 to house the collections of 2 prior museums open since 1945. The museum itself is fairly small, on 3 floors, which makes it quite manageable to see in a couple of hours. It also includes a very good restaurant/café... More
