It's the Chihuly piece gracing the entry to this grand ole' once famous mid town movie house theatre that draws you in... It's the excellently displayed art & artifacts that make you stay, and stay enthralled. They have some top notch traveling exhibits as well. The Museum is close to many local eateries if you can't afford to dine at... More

Okay, okay. I'm an art museum snob. I grew up a quick train ride from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. I travel to specific cities JUST to visit their art museums. OKC wasn't one of those places--and what a surprise! It's a really nice collection for a small city! I was very impressed with the building and the... More

Chihuly glass exhibits are fascinating and extensive. Gods and Heroes Exhibit is neatly displayed with drawing benches for you to try your own hand and sketching a sculpture or piece of art that moves you. This was fun for myself, my 19 and 10 yo. My 16 year old isn't much on Art museums, but did enjoy the second floor... More

it has wonderful collection of arts and there're a few items that are interactive, not to mention an extensive gallery of Chihuly's famous glass (we visited Chihuly Glass Garden in Seattle a month ago but we're still blown away at the OKC MoA).. However, some of the staff's attitude were very unpleasant. We arrived at 415pm and an unfriendly older... More

This museum (as so many things in OKC) is manned by wonderful folks and has a delightful span of different art periods. It is thoughtfully laid out and in an easily accessible part of town. The Chihuly exhibits are like being in Wonderland and totally magical. Several disses unfortunately; the place smells of mildew as do so many buildings in... More

We saw a fantastic special exhibit "ecole des Beaux Arts". Also permanent Chihully glass exhibit. Best museum restaurant we've eaten at.

The exhibits and staff are top notch. Very laid out and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. We really enjoyed the glass sculptures on the third floor. That alone is worth the visit.

A very nice Chihuly exhibit owned by the OKC Museum of art. On Thursdays at 5:00 the museum hosts a gathering on the rooftop with a cash bar. Great way to spend a Thursday afternoon in a great little city.

I took my boyfriend to this art museum during one of his visits and he was "polite" as we entered. When he saw the Chihuly glass sculpture near the entrance he was impressed. Then, to the Chihuly floor for a breathtaking exhibit that is almost surreal. We toured the rest of the museum with its different exhibits, but his favorite... More
