People letting dogs run in park. I guy golfing in the park, parked on the grass, near a sign that clearly stated no golf in the park. He had to base several signs stating stay on the road. Another idiot drove through the fence and was in the lake bed. Again passed a sign stated this is against city rules.... More

The Lake Hefner Trails and Park areas are a very nice addition and quality of life to Oklahoma City. There are trails around the lake for both bike riding, walking, skateboarding. Usually you can see quite a few people taking advantage of the area. There is Stars and Stripes Park, which is a full public park with a pavilion, grills... More

Located on Lake Hefner off of Hefner Parkway and Britton, this restaurant serves as an annual gathering place for me and my college classmates when in Oklahoma City for our university's Homecoming activities. The food is served in quantities than would sooth the savage beast and it is delicious!

I always try to get a late afternoon visit to Lake Hefner. It is a pretty place to take a run, a walk, relax and re center. Easy to get to, easy parking and safe.

I love Lake Hefner for so many reasons. The running/walking trail is great in my opinion, I've trained for several marathons here. One full lap around the lap is 9.5 miles so it's perfect for your long runs. For the casual walker, it's great as well. Parking at the Stars and Stripes parking lot on the south side gives you... One of several large man-made lakes is a sight for sore eyes. You really don't know what is missing until you see the lake and realize that water is scarce in the this part of Oklahoma. Great place to jog, walk, bike ride and have a snack or drink at one of several grills along the shore.
