I'm a lifelong OKC resident and I've been to our zoo many times and I'm glad to say I've seen it grow and keep pace with modern zoo design. Some years we've even bought the yearlong family pass because we frequented so often. Pros: Midsize. Nice architecture. Very clean. Modern. Plenty of facilities for food, restrooms, air conditioning. Cheap price... more

I have to say that this zoo is very dissapointing! I checked the website before we went and they said they had face painting , swann paddle boat rides and this magnificent butterfly exzibit. When we go there they had no face painting, the swann paddle rides were shut down for maintenence and there were probably about 10 butterflies that... more

We have been to several zoos in the past year as we have a two and a half year old son who loves animals. We seem to find something outstanding or special at each one. The exhibits that we found to be the best at this zoo are: 1. Great EscApe - great area to see gorillas, chimps, and orangutans.... more

My husband and I visted this zoo in June. We have been to zoo's all over the country from San Diego, to Forth Worth, to Virginia, and we would have to say this is the worst zoo we've ever been too. There is a lot of wasted time walking, few animals, and those animals that are around are hard to... more

I have gone to the Tulsa Zoo, Dallas Zoo, Fort Worth Zoo, Kansas City Zoo, and others. By far this Zoo is the best around. The admission is cheap compared to places like Sea World, San Deigo Zoo, and Diney Land/World. This Zoo is very educational. The front of the zoo looks a little disappointing because of construction but after... more

If you have been to St Louis Zoo or KC Zoo, then don't try this one.. you'll surely be disappointed. a lot of useless walking around waiting for an animal to show up.. the Giraffes where fun since there were three of them and they were very close.. We spent less than an hour and decided to leave.. what a... more

My family and I visited the Oklahoma City Zoo in July. It was a nice little outing. We got there on a Saturday at 9:00 a.m. and was done looking at all the animals and riding the rides at noon. I would recommend getting there early on the weekends because it was very peaceful and quiet in the morning, but... more

My husband and I recently visited the Oklahoma City zoo. I have to say I was very disappointed in it. It was incredibly crowded, you had to pay extra to ride the train which we didn't know until we tried to get on the train, and it didn't seem to be enough variety of animals. They have one exibit called... more

Living in Oklahoma I have visited the OKC Zoo many times but it wasnt until I visited another top rated zoo (San Diego Zoo) that I realized how nice the OKC Zoo really is. The OKC Zoo is clean, well maintained and not crowded, best of all the admission price is only $7 (we paid over $25 per person in... more
