This is a quiet park about 5 min off I 40. There is rock climbing, hiking, swimming and fantastic playgrounds throughout the park for the kids. Not a lot of sites with sewer services. There are dump stations. Clean park with friendly staff. Sites are large and well laid out.

Stayed here with a group. The rocks are great for the kids to climb on and the tent sites have a large amount of space (at least where we were). The showers were nice considering it is a state park. Nice and shaded with lots of tall trees. Will stay here again!

My husband and I took our puppy on this hike so it is an easy hike for animals and kids a like. There are some stairs, so a little climbing but nothing too challenging. Also this place looks like a good place to camp or picnic so would not be a made place to spend the whole day. The downside... More

A nice little state park which preserves red rock cliffs in a natural area. Easy to drive through and view from the inside, it also enables people to camp and hike and climb the rock walls. But it is a geological treasure for those who are interested in reading up on how it was formed and why it is located... More

We have travelled to this site every October for the past five years. It is a perfect spot for a cookout and for the kids to go climbing on the... what else... red rocks! There are even places where one can climb up or down the various cliffs with climbing ropes. The facilities in October are extremely limited, but some... More

Oklahoma may not have very many large state or national parks but Red Rock Canyon is proof that good things can happen with small areas. This lovely little patch of land is great for camping and hiking and even climbing. Beautiful scenery and nice campgrounds is what really makes this place great. While I couldn't see staying here for a... More

Scenery is what Red Rock is all about. There are plenty of campsites. Rock climbers love it here. Photo ops galore.

Red Rock Canyon is situated among wheat and hay fields in Western Oklahoma. Quite a surprise that a canyon exists there amid the flatness. But it does. I took a day trip to Red Rock Canyon recently. Loved the Indian Paint Brush wild flowers and wild Cosmos growing out of canyon rocks. Butterflies were everywhere which is cool. The only... More

There are so many things to do here at Red Rock if you like the outdoors. This is my families favorite place to go hiking. My boys love climbing up onto the canyon walls and then just hiking the place. Some of it is open red rock that you are hiking on. Then a big area is covered with trees... More

Free admission unless you intend to camp. Surprising to find a canyon amidst all of the Oklahoma flat lands surrounding route 40. Beautiful scenery, several bathrooms. Stretch your legs and enjoy the view. Good for a picnic or a half hour break from driving.
