cozy little town

The people are very friendly. The Roger Millers Museum is a nice place to visit and the little gift shops was a joy to explore.

Located in Erick, Oklahoma this small museum is definitely worth the stop if you are passing through. If you are somewhat of a Milller fan I think a visit will only increase your appreciation of his humor and life. There are suits he wore, his gold records, and lots of pictures and stories of his life. The curator was a... More

I arrived just when the museum was opening (closed Sun-Tues) after having no trouble locating the museum or a parking space in what remains of Erick. I paid my $3 ($2 for seniors), and was the only visitor the entire time I was there. Even though I knew photos were not allowed, I expected to tour the museum at my... More

this is an unexpected find. musuem has lots of personally owned artifacts of millers as well as other artists of the time. lots of stories posted by displays that make them much more interesting. town has other antique type shops that aren't open everyday but are also neat. isolated town so don't expect the Guggenheim and you'll have a good... It is fitting the Roger Miller Museum is a roadside attraction. If you are traveling on Interstate 40 in Western Oklahoma, just take the Erick exit and drive straight into town. The museum is at Erick's main intersection. The old red brick building is clearly marked. This locally operated effort doesn't include a few dusty doo-dads that have been too... More

Positives: Interesting original artifacts, entertaining hostesses, nominal cost Negatives: Depressed surroundings, inside photography not allowed A Star is Made - The 1960's were a time of great upheaval in America. Crowds marched through cities for social change while space-age technologies began to revolutionize the way people lived and worked. Musical styles changed tremendously during this period. New sounds from young... More

My husband and I been wanting to visit the Roger Miller Museum for years and finally made the trip for my birthday. We weren't disappointed! The museum is small but has really amazing pieces of Roger Miller's history and shouldn't be missed. The only thing that I could say that needs to change at this museum is to put up... More

Doing our Route 66 thing, we passed by this small town museum, but decided to backtrack for a stop as we were ready for a break, and have spent many hours singing "Trailer for Sale or Rent" in harmony! The small, homey museum was staffed by friendly ladies, full of stories about the entertainers, and of course memento's of his... More

This museum in Erick contains many items of memorabilia from the Roger Miller estate. His widow has been very generous to the museum. Records, contracts, information, and displays feature the life of Roger Miller from boyhood throughout his career. A theater area shows a documentary of his life and performances from some of his television shows. Although Erick is out... More
