We drove 2 hours to Arbuckle Wilderness in May of 2009. From the description on their website of "hundreds" of exotic animals, a petting zoo, bounce houses and picnic tables, we were excited that this would be a great trip. Were we EVER disappointed. We went to the Arbuckle Wilderness the Tuesday of Thanksgiving week. Bright, sunny day. Pleasant weather, I was in shorts and a short sleeve shirt...not typical late fall temps. I didn't count 'em, but the "hundreds" of animals should probably have been dozens, and that included geese and ducks. 1 monkey. 1 lemur. 2 tigers, 2 hyenas. The aviary probably... more

My wife and I went to arbuckle wilderness in october. We had a fabulous time. We were greeted by a couple of llama like creatures they may have been alpacas and they came right up to the vehicle and ate food (provided by the park at a small cost) right out of our hand.
