Nice campgrounds, we didn't stay but we viewed the grounds. My kids loved the playground. Only $5 for parking on one day stay. We viewed the Falls, they were beautiful! Also, the hiking trails are for the physically fit, whew gave me a workout, LOVED IT! All the nature surrounding the entire falls was just beautiful. We will be returning... More

Very quaint state park. Very short hike down into the falls for a great experience. The weather was sultry hot at ground level, but as you descend into the falls, the temperature drops drastically. It was as if someone had turned on the air conditioning. I didn't want to leave.

My wife and I spent 2 nights here on a Thursday and Friday night. The campsites are large and spacious in among large post oak trees. There is a lot of grass for the dogs. All the sites are paved and level and include water and electric. Prices are very reasonable. I noted in some of the negative reviews comments... More

Would have been more fun if you could get in the water! Very easy hike to the falls. Would be nice no matter the season.

Took the kids on a day trip. They really enjoyed the views. I got awesome pictures on my camera. Wear tennis shoes and pack water. We will definitely go back for further exploration!

What a hidden gem so close to home. About 60 miles from our corner of Kansas which makes for a terrific day trip. Well kept grounds, nice RV sites, great overlooks at the top & bottom of the falls, several trails to hike, and bonus it's where the movie Where the Red Fern Grows was filmed. $5 to enter the... Love the peacefulness of the lower fall area, but the hike down is rather steep. if you choose to go to the pond, there are 2 routes, down the falls trail , then to the right, or down a dirt road on the backside. but it is steep, the pond is quite beautiful. the trail to it has a 2.5'... More

A wonderful State Park with a Camping area for small and large campers and trailers. There's a great walking trail through the forest area that takes you down many stairs to the base of a waterfall and the pool created by it. The walk is mostly easy but parts of it involve a lot of stairs with medium effort to... More

When you see the word hiker in any PR for this park - take head. Though I don't consider myself a hiker, I'm in reasonable shape. However, going from the top to bottom (and back again) within a half mile, less than maintained (didn't think about what the flooding would do) trails was a task. Awe inspiring that this is... More

I was surprised by this state park. The hiking trail to the falls was an easy hike. The falls are very pretty with a sitting area at the bottom of the falls. The park area seemed to be well kept and mowed. There is a camping area. There was a sign for a lake but we did not hike to... More
