It's hard to decide on an overall rating. If it's beautiful scenery and great outdoor activities you are looking for, the park is definitely a 5. However, the cabins do not measure up. It looks like they are being maintained with "low bid" parts. The cabin we stayed in had a cheap sink that has cracked, cheap faucet handles that... More

We stayed in the cabins on the park grounds and really enjoyed the visit. I have lived in Oklahoma all my life and at 71 had never been to Beaver's Bend Park. It's not like you might picture Oklahoma. Sort of reminds you of Colorado. The cabins are what you would call "rustic" but that fits right in to the... More

We had an excellent time camping and fishing below the spillway. We had a group of several families with kids of various ages. Everyone had fun over the weekend. We really enjoyed that this is still a very untouched setting without commercialization or crowding. It helped that the trout were biting too. Check out their website because they have various... I went to Beavers Bend often as a child, and I recently got to take my kids for the first time. It was great. :) It's such a beautiful area. Has a great little store and education building, we had a picnic lunch by the river then went down to the spillway to enjoy the splendor. There was a little... More

This place is beautiful! There are countless hiking trails with all levels of difficulty easily displayed so that you can choose what suits you. There are stables and a small train ride located within the park. You can also find canoe and paddleboat rentals. Mountain Fork River flows through the park (and this is besides the magnificent lake). The river... More

We loved the trails available here. Cedar Bluff trail provides stunning views of the river, and you can continue on the Skyline trail or loop back to the parking area. There is a wonderful lunch spot with rocks that have arranged themselves almost as an amphitheater overlooking the river. If we return in summer, we plan to hike this trail... More

Forest Heritage Center & Museum was very well maintained and had some beautiful wooden artwork and lots of historical information on the area. Note: The Center was undergoing an expansion during out visit.
