This facility, it's outstanding staff, programs and gift shop is one of the JEWELS of Youngstown. If you haven't visited yet, get in the car and come on down. It is well worth a stroll in the park especially in the spring when the tulips and flowers are out. There are several plant sales during the year. The facility is... More

It was so beautiful, and so well tended. We felt we had to make a donation to help support this free garden. Be sure to try the cafe -- the food is tasty, and pretty enough to be featured in a food magazine.

Especially enjoyed the rose garden. The park has something of interest for everybody - from gardens, a lake, and nature study to a historic mill. Bring a camera for the gardens and other scenic views. Plan on a couple of hours up to the entire day.

Riverside Gardens is an oasis in the midst of a rusting old steel town. Roses and other beautiful flowers greet the visitor with open pedals. Each season brings new varieties of flowers and plants. The walkways and trails are an escape from the rush of life. The gift shop has unique treasures not found in many other places. Riverside Gardens... More

Beautiful gardens with a lovely visitor center and small cafe, great place for nature education or to hold a special event like graduations or office parties.

We had the good fortune to be able to visit the gardens last Saturday afternoon, a hot lazy August day. Their beauty is remarkable. Located in Mill Creek Park, the land was a gift to Youngstown from Elizabeth Fellows upon her death in 1958. Thanks to her generosity and foresight, by 1963 the gardens were planted and open for the... More

Very limited menu but what they have is healthy, fresh, and very good. The deduction of one start is because of the limited menu. It is a very nice relaxing atmosphere. Really enjoyed the walk in the rose garden after our meal.

This is one of the best landmarks in Ohio. We were always there when I grew up as a kid, in Youngstown. You can go fishing there, you can get a paddle boat, you can have a family outing there. There are also running and hiking trails. There is so much to do and see. Go check out, you will... More

Part of the Mill Creek Metroparks, this is free. The gardens are smaller than I expected, but well maintained. There are plenty of sitting areas to relax or picnic. There is a gift shop and food available for purchase. I loved the Rose Garden!

We had a group of appropriately 15 visit from Lorain County. We were split in two separate tour groups. Our tour guide, Linda, is a master gardener and showed almost every area. We did not make it to the children's garden but I will definitely be back to check it out later. Multiple views of Lake Glacier. The building is... More
