Peaceful setting ideal for the birds, plenty of hides to view these birds from, a twitchers paradise. Very good exhibition of the evolution of birds from dinosaurs to present day children would find this interesting, there is also a audio visual film. A free attraction to visit which is encouraging.

My husband and I visited the Reserve five years ago. We returned this fall with our seven-year-old grandson. What luck that we arrived a day after the Greenland geese started coming in! The film in the visitor center is well worth the time, as is the display in the back; and be sure to climb up in the observation tower,... More

Went there because my girlfriend wanted to. Nice place but beside ducks, and we have plenty back at home, I did nit see much. Birds were way too far and pedestrian path can be walked under 5 minutes (very short). If you have a limited interest in birds...go elsewhere...if you are a bird lover, you might like it. Bring binoculars... More

Since our last visit they have now added an extra feature! If you ask at the desk they will give you a container of grain to feed the multitude of tame ducks that will come flocking to you the moment they see you scattering the feed. My daughter (and I) had a really fun time doing this and the photo... More

Bring your binoculars and choose from the many hides available for a spot of bird/insect/animal watching. Summer not a great time for a large variety of birds but the website http://www.wexfordwildfowlreserve.ie/ gives you all the details you need about when the best times are to see all the different types of wildlife. The reserve centre have lots of maps/leaflets etc... More

I do like a bit of bird watching but we didn't have our own binoculars with us and it would have been nice to rent some, the Slobs are big! It's an interesting spot, the pump house etc. the info film is well worth watching.

Enjoyable, informative visitor centre, plenty of hides to observe wild birds. A super Tower Hide overlooking the North Slob and Harbour - without doubt the place to visit from October through to end of March to enjoy greatest concentration of Greenland White-fronted Geese in the world - and added to that plenty of other geese ducks and waders - always... If you are into birdwatching or just nature then you must visit here especially in the Autumn/Winter when all the geese arrive. The Visitor Centre is clean & welcoming with toilet facilities & lots of information on the birds & other wildlife.

This is mainly a place to visit if you're a birdwatcher or interested enought ot spend a little while waiting for birds to show up. There are usually ducks and geese around but there are other less common species depending on the time of year or how long you're prepared to wait. Younger children tend to get bored fairly quickly.... More
