The Historic Tour begins at the site of discovery and includes the part that was originally explored from 1897 to 1925. The Natural Wonder Tour takes guests on a 1 mile walk through parts discovered after 1925. It includes the largest stalactite in Ohio, The Crystal King, along with many other marvelous formations and colors. Only one tour is offered from November through March. It is a hybrid tour, showing guests highlights from both the Natural Wonder and Historic tours. « less

This cave is the best I've seen in Ohio and I've been to most of them in the state that are open to the public (Crystal, Perry, Seneca, and Zane Shawnee). My husband and I did the Historical and the Natural Wonders tour but I would advise visitors to just do the Natural Wonders tour if they are budget and... More

We took our two sons, age 10 and 8, to tour the caverns on the Natural Wonder tour. The formations inside the cave were beautiful! This is a great introduction to cave exploration. The tour is under an hour, and the trail is smooth and flat, with the exception of the stairs to exit the cave at the end. It... More

Very cool and interesting. Went with friends from the area but would be a great trip for the family. Highly recommend.

Best stalagtites and stalagmites in Ohio. Reasonably priced tour. Knowledgeable tour guides. Picture taken in cave and price was cheaper than most for a good quality print.

This is an amazing place to visit. I've been to Mammoth Caves and although they are equally impressive it's like comparing apples and oranges. The two are such different experiences that they should both be seen at least once. We went on both tours (Historic and Wonders) and I recommend doing the same. If you get there early and do... More

Beautiful, unexpected! Great tour! We had Courtney as our tour guide and she was very informative. Remember the temperature is 54 degrees in the cavern and water does drip from above. Make sure to wear durable, closed toe shoes. We are all tall, good sized people and we were able to get through without much trouble and enjoy all the... More

I have not been here since 4th grade so it was like a new experience. Great tour and beautiful caverns. Take a sweatshirt if you get cold because it is always 54 degrees. Take a flashlight and camera. One of Ohio's beautiful hidden treasures!

We never knew about these caverns until recently. We visited the caverns on a Sunday and took The Historic Tour and the Natural Wonders Tour. The Historic Tour took you through the original cavern that was discovered in 1897. Though this cavern was not preserved, it was fascinating hearing it's stories from our wonderful guide, John, and viewing the 115... More

It's been a long time since I've visited a cavern. The Ohio Caverns were not the biggest Caverns I've every visited but since I didn't even know Ohio had caverns it was a pleasant surprise.

We were in Ohio visiting family and decided we would head to the Ohio Caverns one day. My husband nor my son had ever been to a cavern so we wanted to give them the experience while we had the chance. We had a great time. When we got there the next tour was leaving in about 5 minutes so... More
