Ohio's largest and most beautiful cavern. Tours take guests through two different parts of the cavern. The Historic Tour begins at the site of discovery and includes the part that was originally explored from 1897 to 1925. The Natural Wonder Tour takes guests on a 1 mile walk through parts discovered after 1925. It includes the largest stalactite in Ohio, The Crystal King, along with many other marvelous formations and colors. Only one tour is offered from November through March. It is a hybrid tour, showing guests highlights from both the Natural Wonder and Historic tours.

We took the Winter Tour led by Aaron. Definitely worth the visit. Their clean, white formations are the best I've ever personally seen and the colors in the cave are amazing. Seeing their giant white crystal stalactite that's about as tall as myself was a great bonus. Tour was fun as well, let's you know about the history and geology... More

This place is in the middle of nowhere in Ohio. The guides at the cavern and gift shop are very knowledgeable and friendly. The formations are simply splendid. I would rate this the second best cavern I have visited (Luray is #1). Definitely worth the visit.

Definitely worth going to if you're near Dayton or Columbus. The cavern is on the only hill in the area. There is a gift shop, gem mining, bathrooms, & picnic tables. The staff is great, we forgot charcoal one day and the shop lend us some. Expect about an hour for the tour.

Fantastic caverns and a good story. A must see if you are in that area. Very close to the Escape 508 B&B.

I never knew this place existed but I'm glad I found it. Ohio Caverns was only an hour and half drive from where I live so it turned out to be a nice day trip. My sister and her son and I all took the Natural Wonder tour and we all found it to be neat and interesting. The temperature... More

Visited the Caverns for the first time in many years and I, along with my wife and two teenagers had a very enjoyable time. Took both tours which were both educational and fun. There are some really cool views inside the caverns and we look forward to returning in the near future. If you like caverns you will like Ohio... More

Grew up in Ohio, but did not know about these caverns. So, what a surprise to find this gem. Did both tours but the newer cavern tour was the best. So beautiful and very colorful. Well worth the trip through the beautiful Ohio countryside. Our guides were also great!

We are glad that you made it out to see us. It's hard to believe that you grew up in Ohio and managed to miss the largest cavern in the state until now! We host many, many students on school field trips. That is how most Ohio kids first find us. It is amazing what lies under the hillside here!... More

My husband and I took our son there for the first time this weekend, he is two. He thought it was the neatest thing. We had our own personal tour guide not many people there. Neat and fun experience- reminiscent of childhood.

Our guide JD took us down a slow turning paved path to the opening of the Caverns. Once we entered JD gave us the history of how it was discovered, excavated, pointed out the stalagmites and stalactites, one looked like a water pump, one looked like a golf club. Drips of water are reminders that they are still growing. It... More

My mom and I took my 7 year old son to Ohio Caverns as a stop on the way to a horse farm. The employees there are super friendly and knowledgable. We did the Natural Wonders tour and my son was obsessed with Mr. Brad the tour guide. The caves themselves are amazing! The gift shop has much more that... More

Thank you for your splendid review! We are glad that you made such a positive impact on your family. We will share your compliment with "Mr. Brad". I'm sure he will be excited. Our friends and neighbors at Marmon Valley Farm run an excellent horseback riding and camp operation. Glad you visited there too! More
