Ohio's largest and most beautiful cavern. Tours take guests through two different parts of the cavern. The Historic Tour begins at the site of discovery and includes the part that was originally explored from 1897 to 1925. The Natural Wonder Tour takes guests on a 1 mile walk through parts discovered after 1925. It includes the largest stalactite in Ohio, The Crystal King, along with many other marvelous formations and colors. Only one tour is offered from November through March. It is a hybrid tour, showing guests highlights from both the Natural Wonder and Historic tours.

Clean well maintained, the guides that took you in the caverns are very knowledgeable. I took my 14 and 11 year old grandchildren and they loved it. Only difficult part was the 60 steps up out of the cavern. Someone told me they have an easier handicapped tour. You would need to call to find out.

I was so shocked to know that such a beautiful cave was so close to home! It had so much beauty it took away my breath. I plan to visit the other caves in Ohio as soon as I can. The tour guide was very engaging and full of interesting stories and information. Afterwards we got a map in the... More

Thank you for your kind review. We will pass on your compliments to our guide staff. We are fortunate to have such a pretty cavern. Glad that you now want to see others nearby. Glad you enjoyed our tree tour, we should probably do more to promote it. One things for certain, it's free! Hope you can come and visit... More

I've come here multiple times over the past 50+ years and each time I see something new and interesting. We took the Natural tour, one of two available and had an awesome time.

Thank you for visiting and for your nice review. We do try to keep prices as low as possible. We offer a discount for those taking both tours, or you can spread it out over two visits. We hope that you get to come back to see the other tour soon. More

I have been here too many times to count throughout my life. I was even able to compare a photo of me posing by the largest stalactite (?) when I was 8 and then years later, at 38. What a neat comparison. However, my most recent visit was explicitly for the gift shop. If you are a lover of rocks... More

Thanks for visiting again, even just the gift shop. We try to keep prices reasonable, while maintaining a variety of rock and mineral specimens. Many people do come just to shop, especially before Christmas. The comparison photos sound neat. It would be nice if you could post them to our Facebook page. It's amazing how slow things change down in... More

Awesome! It's that plain and simple...awesome. On my "bucket list" and I wasn't disappointed. Anyone within driving distance doesn't have an excuse for not seeing one of these Wonders of Ohio (and of the country). You will be awed at the underground scenery, rock formations and calcium deposits.

We have two kids ages 11 & 13. They both really enjoyed visiting the caverns. My husband and I did as well. You are on a guided tour and learn a lot! Make sure to wear a sweatshirt or jacket because it's the same temperature year round. Also, if you are claustrophobic you may not enjoy this attraction.

Thank you for your great review! While caves and caverns are not for everyone, most find that our caverns tour is not too closed in. We tell people it is like walking through a house, sometimes you are in a room and sometimes in a hallway. We have two guides per tour and the rear guide can get anyone out... More

We live within 15 miles of the Ohio Caverns and have been there several times over the years. Over the years we have also visited caverns in Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, and Virginia. Some of the other caverns may have been larger, many have larger formations, some even have lakes but Ohio Caverns has white formations instead of the brown seen... More

Thank you for your kind review! We are blessed with very white formations. This along with the dark mineral colorations on the walls make for a great contrast. While we are not the biggest (that's Mammoth Cave in KY), we are very proud of our beautiful formations and go to great measures to protect them. You will not be allowed... More

I really enjoyed this tour. Not too long, and not too short. The tour guides were knowledge and friendly. Rain or shine, you can enjoy this jem of Ohio.

Thank you for your kind review. Also thanks for reminding people that we are an "all weather" attraction. It is always 54 degrees in the cavern and the outside weather doesn't affect the cavern tour experience at all. We hope that you can return for another visit soon! More
