I have traveled to the Toledo Botanical Garden twice from the Detroit area and enjoyed both trips. The highlights are beutiful flowers, large hosta garden, asia garden, and large open spaces. The last time I went was a special event weekend that included live dancing and craft fair. Best of all the park is free. more

The toledo botanical Gardens are one of the cities best kept secrets. The gardens offer a beautiful selection of sculpture, and artwork couples with a dazzeling selection of plant life. Plan an hour or two...and just go strolling through the garden. Best of all it is FREE! Free parking, free admission! Don't let their boring website detour you! The website... more

We drove many miles to Toledo to see this, and we were delighted! In addition to the beautiful landscaping and flowers, we saw swans, a heron, and Canada geese parents shepherding five goslings. There are sculptures, too. See the Toledo Botanical Garden website for a schedule of summer jazz concerts (which we did not attend). I believe there's a charge... more
