Beautiful historical homes

Lots to see. Drive through slowly and take in all these giant homes! If you get a chance go back during the holidays and take the homes tour!

The homes in the Old West End are mainly from the Victorian period. It is well worth a drive or walk through the beautiful streets. Every year, during the first weekend in June, is the Old West End Festival. A selection of houses are open for touring, there is an art fair, food vendors, and music. Also, every year on... More

This area features some truly unique gems. The people here have really done a good job preserving many of the architectural gems for this area. The old west end stands out as an incredible island of beautiful homes in a city filled with burned out and vacant houses. This area is worth the visit. If you want to help support... More

The Old West End is a grand collection of homes built by the wealthy in the late 1800s and early 1900s. This was the area of the movers and shakers in early Toledo. On the first weekend of June the Old West End Festival is held. One of the homes opened this year was the Edward Drummond Libbey home. He... More

This part of Toledo takes up about 25 city blocks north of the Toledo Museum of Art. The area is known for holding the most Victorian, Edwardian and Arts and Crafts homes east of the Mississippi. Much of the construction here took place between 1875 and 1915. Some of the neighborhood has fallen into decay and is a bit sketchy.... More

We have been to the festivals in the summer and recently Tour Noel a Christmas decorations tour. That tour was too much talk about the house owners possessions and collections. The houses themselves are labors of love and worth visiting the neighborhood for. We stopped by the Black Kite Coffee Shop and loved the charm. There are fees when they... More
