I have a membership to the Santa Barbara Zoo and recently went to the Toledo Zoo. I'm so embarrassed of the Santa Barbara Zoo!! Toledo Zoo has so many amazing animals, animals that my 20month old could see and enjoy! I recommend the Toledo Zoo to everyone, you will not be disappointed!!

Toledo Zoo is one of the best and holds its own compared to larger zoos in major metro areas. Incredible primate area, where you can see a huge number of silver back gorillas, orangutans, and other smaller monkeys. The aquarium (one of our favorite buildings) is closed for remodeling, but the similarly structured reptile house is still open and worth... More

I absolutely LOVE this zoo! They are always updating and changing exhibits to keep the animals and the visitors happy. I love the flamingo and penguin additions. They have also done a great job with the African exhibits! The zoo is kept clean as well. We have visited in all 4 seasons and each are great. The lights at the... More

Go to this zoo. It is a great experience. Visit the primates and Africa. Plan to stay at least 3 hours and go in the morning to avoid the crowds.

There is a reason that Toledo Zoo is among the top nine zoos in the nation but you have to see that reason for yourself. The zoo is very clean. The staff is very friendly. The animals are well cared for and in gorgeous habitats but you can see them up very close. My friend and I were there for... More

Went here with the family for the day. This place is awesome. Very clean and the workers are friendly. This is the second time this year we visited this zoo. They are in the process of building a new aquarium and can't wait until it's finished to visit it.

We visited the Toledo Zoo on a really warm Monday afternoon. Upon entering the area around the zoo we wanted to stop for a quick lunch. A couple of fast food places like Taco Bell and McDonalds were in the area but I didn’t feel safe stopping. We decided to eat at the zoo. We stopped at an area that... More

This zoo is a local treasure. It is small and easily done in a day with lovely housing for the animals. The entry welcomes you with joy and song, the animals have large encasements which present them in a natural setting. I love the zoo and highly recommend it for anyone visiting the area.

My Family and I recently relocated to the area. We visited the zoo shortly after arriving and immediatly purchased an annual pass. We have since been to this zoo about once a month and always find something new, always enjoy ourself. This is really a beautiful zoo.

The animals are very active in this zoo. I went on a train ride through the Africa segment and it was a unique way of seeing the animals. The birdhouse is nice, and tons of things for little ones to do
