If you want to go to a world class zoo then Toledo Zoo is the place to go!!!! They are adding things all the time. I am partial to riding the train. But they should not have changed the old aquarium.

I like the Toledo zoo, but unless you live in Toledo and plan to use the zoo on a regular basis it is quite expensive. Get a membership and go to all events and the price of admission is acceptable, other wise there are other ways to spend your entertainment money that has a better return for your money.

"In 2014, the Toledo Zoo won USA TODAY's #1 Zoo in the U.S. The Toledo Zoo boasts of being the home of the first hippoquarium, leading to the first video of a hippo birth! It is thrilling to stand right next to the full glass wall and have one of these giant animals glide right past! In crossing over roadway... More

Although I've been coming to this Zoo since childhood, I'd never experienced their "Lights Before Christmas" display. This year, through my daughter's employer, my husband and I went as her guests. The weather was cooperative that night, with temps quite mild for mid-December. If I ever went again, I would definately take the weather into consideration because there is a... More

This is an incredible show! I live near Cincinnati OH and this outdoes their zoo's "Festival of Lights" by a long shot. We make a special trip every year to Toledo just to visit the "Lights Before Christmas." The children's zoo area is great! Our little ones got a chance to pet and groom a guinea pig, and have held... We have been to the lights several times. My husband & I took our 3 grandchildren, ages 10, 8 & 2. Not a lot had changed. Saw very very very few animals, which I knew we wouldn't see many as in the past but the cost was $56 to get in $13 for adults & $10 per child, even our... More

Every year we visit the Toledo Zoo at Christmas time. Every year the zoo adds something to their display. This year the weather was cooperative and the zoo enjoyed record crowds. The lights, the music and the awe of the zoo is a must see for anyone in the Midwest.

Visited the Lights before Christmas the day after Christmas and really enjoyed them. Visited Africa first and rode a nauseatingly fast carousel. Then we enjoyed a train ride, which could have had a few more lights. The lights were stunning in Africa. A whole forest was lit up. We crossed over the bridge and we're pleased with ourselves for getting... More

the zoo is a wonderful place, especially at Christmas. After dark it becomes a beautiful display of lights.

We have had a family membership to The Toledo Zoo for many years. It is a great cheap way to spend a day with the family. In addition the membership gets us discounts at zoos nearly everywhere we go.
