Heritage Village Museum is a living history museum depicting life in Southwestern Ohio through-out the 19th Century. Homes, out-buildings and equipment on the museum grounds were moved here from other locations in the region to be preserved and aid in telling the story of our recent past. Interpreters at the museum provide the facts and stories that bring the Village to life with nostalgic glances of days gone by.

We got a private tour by a very pleasant guide all dressed up in period costume, despite the heat and humidity. I'm so pleased these buildings have been saved and brought together like this. I loved the Kemper 1804 log cabin and summer kitchen. Who knew a log cabin could be so nice? The church has a lovely light-blue rounded... More

We had a fantastic time at the Civil War day - my sons eyes lit up at the reenactment. The historical houses were nice but my one complaint: Please write "Do not touch" in areas that are open to the public. The acting doctor was extremely rude on Saturday for the festival. No where does it say not to touch.... More

Step back in history at Heritage Village. This historic village is located within Sharon Woods (a Hamilton County park which is great in its own right). This collection of historic buildings, relocated from various parts of the area, showcase life in the region from a bygone era. The dedicated staff and volunteers do a great job keeping the park vibrant... More

My daughter and I took 2 school-age boys from our neighborhood to the village one afternoon. The boys were really wanting to play on the playground and we had a hard time convincing them to go with us on the tour. They ended up LOVING it. We ended up getting a private tour and they got to ask a lot... More

I have always enjoyed this Village of historic buildings collected from the surrounding area. It is a good representation of different types of buildings and different lifestyles of the past. Most recently I took my 7, 8 and 11 year old grandchilren for a tour. The guide was great at engaging the children in hands-on activities; they all enjoyed it... More

I have been here at least 15 times, in many different seasons as the Village is always changing with new additions or a seasonal flare. Took my granddaughters during The North-South reenactment period and they met a "real live solder from the civil war"....and got to hold a old gun. Good for all ages and expecially at Halloween with the... More

Heritage Village is fantastic, in every way. Our guide, Adam, was filled with information that he shared, and he invited questions from us, too. The Village has a wonderful collection of original 19th century buildings moved to this location, spaced out in a beautiful setting among the trees and grassy areas, along the side of a creek. Each old building... More

This historic village with 15 original buildings placed in the setting in a park is an event that you and your family will enjoy. It shows the lifestyle of the 1800s and has narrated tours of each building. Additionally there are special celebrations in the summer fall winter and spring. At Halloween all of the buildings have ghouls goblins and... More
