Firelands Winery was founded in 1880 under the name Mantey Vineyards and has been producing high quality wines ever since. Join us at the winery in Sandusky Ohio and see what we are all about. There is a self guided tour that allows you to see the different aspects of production from an interesting perspective, a tasting bar where you can try a selection of our world class wines, and several intimate seating areas where you can share a bottle of wine with friends and family. All in all Firelands Winery is a great place to spend an afternoon.

I've been going to another winery in the area and decided to check this one out recently. I'm glad I did! Offering a wide selection and generous tastings, as well as a spiced wine called "Ugly Sweater" that is perfect on a chilly day, The Firelands is now on my we must stop in before we head home list.

Monday afternoon adventure with the kids at school. Bartender was on lunch but the office worker helped us out while chatting us up and enjoying herself. Grabbed a bottle of wine and a cheese board and sunk into the couches. Try all the sweets Ohio is known for but dont forget the Malbec they just produced also. Thanks for the... More

Stopped in with my husband as part of our anniversary. We had the best time. We loved the wine tasting. My favorite wine was the niagra very smooth and my husband liked the chardonnay. We will be back.

We stopped on our way to Mon Ami to try the wines. One of my hobbies is trying to make it to as many Ohio wineries as I can. Finally made it to Firelands. Cute little tasting bar with a large varieties of ones to sample. I was blown away by the Malbec. A great dry red. The only draw... More

We had a girls getaway for the Labor Day Weekend and visited this winery. It was really nice. They had 2 different types of wine flights (tastings) which were dry or sweet with 6 different flavors of wine from each side plus a bonus drink. You were not mix from both sides. So, we went with the sweet wine. The... More

Very fun winery! You can get a $3 tasting of six different wines. You can choose between a set of dry and a set of sweet wines. They are all for sale as well. There is also a short, self-guided tour of the winery.

Firelands pours a generous paid tasting - dry or sweet, your choice of flight. The wines were good, and there were many specials in the shop. A self guided tour is available.

My wife and I fancy ourselves fans of wine; and, have belonged to wine clubs; ate great wine and food pairings at world-class restaurants, so we weren't very hopeful trying "Ohio Wines" until we actually learned the winery has been in operation for more almost 125 years! We tried the "Dry" and the "Sweet" tastings; and, shared samples. The lady... More
