Great view from the top, $3.00, has elevator but 30 steps or so to get to elevator from lobby. Make sure you bring your camera.

very interesting--worth a visit especially on a sunny day for the view. The staff were well informed and enthusiastic.

I wasn't sure about the best way to get to the memorial, approaching it from the east. It turned out our best bet was to take the Miller Boat Line from Catawba Island. Miller Boat Line offers free parking, but the lot was full when we arrived. We parked in an adjacent lot, where the fee was $5 for a... More

Just thirty seven steps up to the elevator then over 300' to the top for the best view of Put In Bay and surrounding islands and Canada. Knowledgeable park personnel will give you the history and construction of the monument along with answering questions concerning the surroundings islands. Take some time to get the entire 360 degree view. For $3... More

I've lived in northeast ohio my whole life and had never been to PIB. I knew that I had to visit the Perry Monument while there. I'm glad I did! I learned so much about the battle, victory, and peace that fell afterwards. And the view from the top is just awesome! A must do while in PIB!

Liked the visitors center which has a great display and explains how Perry won the battle of Lake Erie. Visited here twice. On this trip I was able to go to the top of the monument and the view is outstanding. You can walk all the way around for a 360 degree panorama. Worth the wait.

This National Landmark is a must-see! It is 327 Feet tall with a viewing deck on the top of the monument. A quick elevator ride with friendly National Park Rangers makes it worth the trip.

I've been to put in bay before, like 40 years ago, but never at the top of the memorial. at the 4 corners of the lookout area there is a map detailing the islands you see...so you can get an idea of the position of all the islands around you..... There is a very old elevator that has recently been... More

We did not get to go up the tower as it closed at 5pm. We did spend time in the museum and found it very interesting. I would call it a must for visiting the island. It really helps you understand the War of 1812 and the battle near Put In Bay. It really is about the best thing on... More
