This is a great memorial. Make sure to take the elevator to the top if you get the chance, it offers great views of the island and Lake Erie!

excellent presentation of this historic area. Very clean, very family oriented. Many facts presented that we were not aware of. Go to the top of the monument, very cool.

We enjoyed listening to the reenactment and going to the top of the memorial! You may not want to do this if you are afraid of heights.

First off, yes, there is an elevator. Its a bit small so you may have to wait. The view is very impressive. If you are military, you can visit for free! Make sure you wave to Canada!

While the views from the top of the memorial are excellent in all directions over the flat Lake Erie Island landscape from 317ft (97m) above, do not miss the opportunity to see the visitor center which does a excellent job of telling the story of Oliver Hazard Perry’s decisive victory over the British in the Battle of Lake Erie during... I think I read somewhere that this is the highest observation tower on any monument in America? I could be wrong but either way it's a great view Put in Bay is great I highly suggest just taking it all in while you're there

We went to the Perry's Victory & International Peace Memorial. We got as far as the lawn in front and found that it is closed for rennovations. I guess it will be open next summer.

Wish it was open so we could get closer. They had it all gated off. Nice watching the guys fire their muskets!
