While crowds can be a hassle at certain times..... it's well worth the trip to the top. The BEST views of the Great Lakes region. And very inexpensive.

The monument itself is quite impressive. it is certainly worth the $3 to ride to the top to see the awesome views. My husband is a history teacher so it was a must stop for us. It is especially impressive because it is on an island, the 3rd tallest monument in the U.S. and it is over 100 years. old.

Great place to visit. Learned a lot more of our history. Can see everything from the look out area. Not a bad price. Enjoyable.

We didn't go up to the top, but the monument itself is a must see. Quick stop for us, and well worth it. Beautiful.

The view from the top of the Perry Memorial is outstanding. The day we visited the weather was perfect and we had clear skies. The Rangers were helpful answering questions and pointing out things from the top. There was a 2 dollar fee for going to the top. Upon entering the memorial you go up about 30 steps until you... A must on a visit to Put-in-Bay. This National Park memorial honors Admiral Perry and those who fought in the a Battle of Lake Erie, in the War of 1812. This was one of the most important battles in a war that is often overlooked in normal American history studies. The park rangers and staff were very helpful and informative.... More

This is a memorial to the soldiers that died in the 1813 Battle of Put-In-Bay --- a key battle in the War of 1812. The park rangers did a great job explaining the history and significance of the battle and that we have lived in peace for the last 200 years with our bitter enemies: the Canadians and British. The... More

There is nothing better than taking a look at our history! For a small fee of $3 pp you can get an eagles eye view of the island and surrounding islands. The visitors center is very well maintained as well as the monument too. They have done a great job and the Rangers were outstanding!

For $3 you get a ride to the top of the 3rd tallest monument run by the US Nat'l Parks Service. It's a great view on a clear day. If you didn't like the day you went up, your ticket is good for a whole week. They have various diagrams that help describe the various islands and points of reference... More
