We took the Jet Express and were dropped off right in the heart of the activity. We rented a golf cart and toured the entire island from every angle. Ate something then left. Crazy people over there.
It's a nice ferry ride over and many things to do there but I would advise not taking your kids Labor day weekend. My wife and I have been there twice now on the aforementioned weekend and were mooned twice. No, we are not going to try for the tri-vector! When we go back it will be in the middle...

A lot to do on the island! Great night life.... Definitely going to make the trip it a yearly event. I highly recommend it.
We drove around the whole island one day in the golf cart....made a bunch of stops, and had so much fun!

Docking at Park Place boat club for the first time was very easy and economical. They provided hourly rates or overnight rates and had several dock hands available...

This area has many restaurants, shops and other typical tourist type things. There is also the William Perry monument that you can go in and ride the elevator to the top, which is very nice and interesting. There is a large park at the Island with several different playground areas. My Nieces had a blast! There is also a carousel...
