Theres plenty to see at South Bass Island, such as the Marblehead Lighthouse, the Cedar Point Amusement Park, and the William Perry Monument, and its fishing opportunities cant be beat, especially if you're fishing for Walleye and Perch.

Great scenery.

Clean, lovely island. Plenty to do. Take a jog along the waterfront. Drive the golf car around. Lots of fun for young and old.

Weather was good for our stay. We took an SUV over on the island. Rented a condo that sleeps 8. Pretty nice accommodations. Toured a winery resale shop and lots of bars. Service at all the establishments was good. We traveled on Wed. to Fri. to avoid the younger crowds

We rented the carts and we were ALL OVER that island. Plenty to see and lots of eateries. Fun for all ages.

We had a great day here. We have 2 young children and took our bikes over on the ferry so we did not have to rent a golf cart. It was much cheaper to do and saved a lot of time having to wait for a golf cart. We stopped and got a map and spent the day exploring the... More

We had an enjoyable time here. We took a little ferry from the mainland which was fun but a little too expensive. We rented gold carts but I think they had bike rentals available as well. No cars allowed. The gold carts were the best part of this trip. It was like driving miss daisy. Cool! They also had a... More

There is so much to do. There is way more than just restaurants, and bars. There are small museums, Perrys monument, a fishery thats owned by The Ohio State University, a light house. There is a state park where one can camp, two wineries, a cave, the worlds largest Giode that you can walk inside. Also you can walk through... More

It always feels as if we are 'far, far away' when we visit South Bass Island (rather than just a couple hours from our house). We like exploring with a golf-cart. Sometimes there are gorgeous sunsets, too.

The whole island is well cared for, neat and tidy. I spend several hours driving around and looking at things. Golf carts outnumber cars about 5 or 10 to one. It's really a very pleasant island. The Miller Ferry to the island was quick and painless, except for the fare. I went on a Tuesday in mid-June, and it was... More

We took the Jet Express over from Kelley's Island and spent the day at Put-In-Bay. I definitely recommend renting a golf cart and exploring the entire island first. Then you can have lunch at The Upper Deck at The Boardwalk. Be sure to check out the Monument and then you can go bar hopping :)
