Nice lunch trip but...

Went on the Lunch along the Cuyahoga trip-decent food, great servers, cordial and pleasant trainmen and women. The trip should have been about a 2 hour round trip to Akron and... read more

The CVSR is a great way to see the surrounding countryside. You will pass ponds and marshes and see wildlife any season. They do a Polar Express during the holidays and have other specialty tours

My friends and I boarded the train at the Rockside Station for the lunch trip. For lunch we all had the honey pecan chicken. Truly this was the most delicious chicken I have ever had. Well worth the $32 for the lunch and 3 hour train ride. Beautiful scenery, lots of stops at different stations. We all agreed next time... More

We boarded the train at Peninsula depot for what was billed to be a 3 hour ride. It turned out that in order to get 3 hours we had to ride to the north end and back to the south end and then north again to Peninsula. We were not made aware of this when we ordered. In addition there... More

My husband & I took the afternoon, 3 hour ride in the Emerson Dome car. The dome car is a little more expensive, but worth the money! Your view is unencumbered. The trainmen are very knowledgable and will point out interesting tidbits, including the bald eagles. They will provide free snacks & water, but there is a concession car with... More

Went on the Lunch along the Cuyahoga trip-decent food, great servers, cordial and pleasant trainmen and women. The trip should have been about a 2 hour round trip to Akron and back had it not been for the dozen stops to let hordes of bicyclists on and off. We were told the diners could not get off because it would... More

We booked the coach car that includes the option to walk up to the observation car. We didn't have anyone up there ever while we sat up there. Volunteers are very generous with the pours. Additionally, the appetizers are truly only appetizers. So, for next time, I'd for sure eat a moderate meal first. That's just us. We did hear... More

Had a great time on the wine tasting train. Curt, Diane and Beth - the volunteers were fun and entertaining. The food was good and while I didn't want to purchase any of the wines tasted it was a fun night. Planning on going back with a larger group in September.

This is a relaxing way to get to and from Hale Farm & village. The only con is that the return trip from Hale Farm & Village is too early-the tram from Hale Farm to Indigo Lake Station leaves at 2:30PM.

It was a lot of fun. Make sure you make your on-line reservations for Coach Car #1 for either a Wine or Beer Train trip. They know how to throw a party in that car !

Was surprised for my birthday and taken on a wine tasting on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. Had a great time! In the past I had purchased tickets for the Rails and Ales, but my wife and I got sick. Tried calling to see if I could reschedule and after leaving two messages, never heard back. Make 100% sure you... More
