I have taken this scenic railroad for evening of wine tasting. Tickets obtained on-line. There are different seating options for different prices. I have sat in the "dome" car which is visually very nice, you can see out the side window and hen out of the dome on the ceiling. However, this section is difficult to sit and have a... More

Beautiful, relaxing train ride through the length CVNP on a restored train. Recommend purchasing the train's dome car- the views are worth the few extra dollars. The ride was about 3 hours in length. You could get off at any of the stops and get back on a later train. You could even ride your own bike or rent a... More

Its awesome to actually ride a train, not just look at one. This would be a great way for children to see nature without having to hike etc... You are close to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland (20 minutes) and the NFL Football Hall of Fame in Canton (1 hour).

This was a 3 hour train ride- but the good news is you CAN get off if you choose too and see some of the places along the way and also bring bikes for biking in the park. We decided to DO the domes observation car however which you MUST get at the Rockside Station and if you get off... More

The trip, which includes several stops, travels from the Rockside depot in the Cuyahonga National Park to Akron, then reverses its direction. In total it's three hours. You can board anywhere, but if you want to experience the Dome car for great viewing you need to board at Rockside. The train basically travels through the lowlands and forest of the... More

This is the best way to enjoy bicycling, ride down hill all day enjoying the towpath, then hop the train for a comfortable and beautiful ride back. You will want to be on the lookout for the eagles and other wildlife because it doesn't flee from the train so you can see more. They have snacks on the train. There... More

Let me start my review by noting this attraction was staffed by volunteers. My husband and I arrived early so we could be sure and get a table for 2 with a good window view, but it turned out the staff at the door of our LoneStar car told us to enter dining car 1 vs. 2 -- so after... More

As the title says, except for one very important fact... You can walk /bike the Towpath or Buckeye trail and then catch the train one way back to where you started. The cost was only $3 and it was well worth it to be able to walk in one direction instead of doubling back. Great idea!

I decided to buy 2 tickets to a Grape Escape event as a late Mother's Day present for me and my mother. -The train leaves AT 7- by our own fault, we barely made it. Be on time! -The scenery was gorgeous, the volunteers were funny and generous with their pours. When the description said "tastings," I expected exactly that.... More
