When I hear the word "scenic" I think I'll be snapping pictures of nature and enjoying great views. There is little scenic about this railroad and for the price it was a total ripoff. We got on at the Peninsula Station and the train went a couple stations down before reversing back the other way. Mostly what we saw were... More

it is a really great train ride - we rode bikes down the trail and rode the train back - very nice ride. They have popcorn, snacks and drinks for purchase.

We rode the train today and it was a lot of fun. Let me give you some tips to help enjoy yourselves more. First of all...Buying tickets. If you would like to sit in the dome car go to Rockside and buy tickets. The other stations only sell coach. You "may" be able to upgrade in the concession car but... More

We did the last train out of the Rockside station (round trip). I recommend paying the up charge for the upper dome seats! The view was amazing, even saw an American Bald Eagle! Even my 12yr old enjoyed it. The conductors are all volunteer and knowledgeable.

We took the Sunday morning tour with breakfast. The food and service were excellent, and the train staff were all friendly and personable. The views from the train were beautiful. This is a must-do if you visit the Valley.

We rode the dome car and it was worth the extra cost. The views were unobstructed and the ride relaxing. Unfortunately the food car ran out of some items very quickly leaving only bagged snacks and popcorn. The train crew were extra friendly. Take a ride alone or with family/friends. It's a great day out.

This was a fun and relaxing way to see the area and learn about the history. There is an audio guide that points out things along the way. Wish I got it at the beginning of the trip. Didn't know it existed until a worker came through near the end of the first section and asked if anyone would like... More

I took this trip in July 2014 for my bday. It was a first time on the train. I was pleasantly surprised . It was a relaxing ride which included a narrative from the crew members and the option to purchase snacks, popcorn, souvenirs and such . The leg room facing another person was a little challenging for the basic... More

Train ride through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Nicely narrated. Well worth the trip - unless you walk the trails you can see a number of sites not accessible by car. Eagles in the trees.

My husband and I took the Ales on Rails scenic train ride last August when we moved to Ohio and loved it so much we went again taking a visiting family member. The volunteers make you feel so welcomed. The beer is plentiful and the food is filling. I will continue to take out of town guests on this one... More
